I won a 2 night hotel stay, here on Gather for the Stonebriar Westin Hotel in Frisco, Texas. Winning this was a wonderful surprise!

The Entrance to the Hotel. Almost everytime, they would open the door for us.
We figured out what dates would work for us, and let Stefanie at Gather know those dates, and she reserved the room for us.
Menawhile, we planned on going to the Minensota Vikings pre-season game, against the Dallas Cowboys - as part of the fun of our trip.
Then, my Step-Son said he was getting married by the Justice of the Peace, and we decided to give them a wedding gift of a trip to the Westin (their own room), and to come to the Vikings game with us. They were estatic! We were so happy to do this for them, even though it was gather expensive.
When we arrived at the Westin, they were very nice & gracious. Someone brought out a bottle of water for each of us, while I was checking us in. While I finished up, everyone sat in one of the wonderful sitting areas right off of the lobby area.

We went up to our rooms & I quickly got a couple of pictures...before we decended on the room! :)

The flat-screen t.v. was a wonderful item to have in the room.

This is the desk area.
Then we decided to go for a walk around, so I could get some additional pictures. Downstairs, on the main floor we were walking along side the restuarant when I saw someone with 2 Starbucks cups. So I asked where I could get one. The lady said "I can make you one, follow me" I told her it was no big deal if the coffee shop was closed (which it was). But she insisted. She opened the place and made me a latte, and gave it to me free of charge! Give me free Starbucks & I am in heaven.
Speaking of Heaven, the Westin is known for their Heavenly Bed, and it is a wonderful bed. So comfy, you just want to cuddle up and relax in this bed. I slept very well, which is unusual for me in a hotel room.
We called the front desk & requested a fan, and they brought one right up for us. Otherwise we would have had a bit of a sleep-less night. We appreciated that.

I was able to take some pictures of the pool & grounds, but I did not have an opportunity to swim, or use the work-out facilities. My Step-son & daughter in law did though! They also played at the putting green that was available. They had a lot of fun swimming, hot-tub, putting, working-out.
Saturday morning we had to head out very early to drop our daughter off at church for a Youth Event. Checking out was a snap - no problems or additional charges. I walked over to Pete's Cafe to get a Starbucks to go, and a Diet Mountain Dew for my Husband. Then she told me that she didn't ahve any money in her till yet, so I got them free of charge - that's 2 Starbucks latte's free for me - delicious!
In review, the negatives of the hotel would be these:
- No exhaust fan in the bathroom
- No microwave in the room
- No continental breakfast
Positives would be:
- Heavenly bed
- The shower was awesome (2 shower heads)
- Flat screen t.v. in every room
- Decor throughout was top-notch. Wonderful wood-work, great artwork
- Employees were prompt & very courteous.
- Fun ammenities (pool, workout room with t.v's on each piece of equipment, putting green, restaurant, bar, cafe v- all in the hotel.
We all loved this hotel & would love to visit there again - anytime!

I loved the photos, too.
I have also found that if a hotel has a full service restaurant, they don't offer a free continental breakfast.
Lovely review I would not mind swimming in that pool!!!
