Oh my goodness, HOSPITALITY. Like no other!!!!!
We were welcomed at the Westin Arlington Gateway with sights, sounds, and scents. Our stay certainly stirred our souls and replenished our spirits. We left the outside world behind and allowed ourselves to truly relax. We have found our place to RELAX, REVIVE, and RENEW!!!!!
This was one beautiful get-away. We really just wanted a weekend to un-wind and relax. We certainly got that!
They had a beautiful swimming pool, a whirlpool spa, a small fitness center, shuttle service, etc. and numerous tours leaving from the hotel .
The room we stayed in was #1016 which was a VIP corner room at the end of the hall on the tenth floor.
The Room was outstanding and lavish. The bed was king size. The room was immaculatre and there were plenty of nice clean towels, extra sheets, & blankets and luxiourous bathrobes. Did I mention that they were sensuous bed linens, fluffy boudoir pillows, and one dreamy duvet.
What a great place to stay. The staff was very friendly, pleasant, and knowledgeable about the area, they recommended great restaurants and local atrractions. Our guest services concierge, was very funny and helpful and gave us many tourist like places to go. Our service express attendant was so helpful in assisting with our luggage and even offered to store our luggage after we checked out on the 18th so we could spend the day at the zoo before boarding the return train. A big plus was the pocket sized maps of the area which was unusual, but much appreciated. A copy of USA TODAY was also left at our suite each morning
Our suite featured a refreshment center conviently located in the dresser. With a coffee maker and complimentary Starbucks African Kitamu coffee. Additionally, nourishing and delicious meals & snacks could be ordered 24 hours a day directly from our rooms large flatscreen TV. Because we were in the VIP suite we were additionally treated to the turndown service, which was amazing ! When ever we returned for the evening our bed was turned down, the lights were turned low, the TV was on, curtains drawn, and fabulous chocolates were left on our pillows and herbal infusions of Tazo teas were ready and waiting for us. All this certainly transformed our energized day to a smooth and revitalizing night.
We also enjoyed a daily Westin Workout, in the fitness center which was located on the 3rd floor. The facility included treadmills, stationary bikes, free weights, and a weight station and was conviently located next to the pool area so that we could then jump in the pool and un-wind in the hot tub.
The unique ambiance, personalized services, and energizing amenities that the Westin Arlington Gateway created a sensory awakening experience that refreshed and de-stressed both our minds and our bodies.
This trip was Fantastic!!!! Thank you Gather!!!!!

There was a huge bathroom, and the shower had two large shower heads. They also provided some great soaps and really really nice Shampoos & Conditioners. I am going to write about them in another posting as I did not want thsi one to be too lenghty!
