I was just about to get into my Thursday workout when I got an email from one of my online clients telling me that they've been seeing all these articles lately on the benefits interval training...
People are finally starting to catch on.
I guess this reinforced the principles I've been sharing with all of you over the last year or two in my newsletters. But just in case you need a refresher (and I think we all do from time-to-time) here's some more great reasons to use short, intense workout routines.
Benefits of Interval Training:
•Ø Interval Training BURNS 3x as much FAT as running at a slower steady pace
•Ø Intervals raise good cholesterol levels while helping to "clean out" your arteries
•Ø Intervals improve aerobic endurance even though you aren't spending hours doing cardio
•Ø Interval Training boosts your metabolism for up to 36 hours after you finish
... the list goes on and on, but you get the point.
If you're still doing 60 minute marathon training sessions, you're missing the boat. Your workouts need to take advantage of how quickly interval training can change your body.
Plus, your workouts will take half as long!
Neither myself, my team, nor any of our clients ever work out for more than 30-45 minutes.
It's time to restructure your program, save time, and triple your results!
We just finished editing my last fitness video and I'll make sure to email it to everyone on my newsletter list early next week. It's a great example of how to combine minimal equipment into an interval style workout made to burn fat and tone your entire body... it's a really fun workout too!

PS. I've done all the hard work for you in designing the step-by-step program and now all you have to do is follow the fast and easy steps to get started today. It's the same one seen on TV, in magazines & in the news.
Are you with me?

You can check out my article page on Gather for many articles & videos on interval training and its benefits, but here's a recent post and video demonstrating how quick it can be:

I will also be publishing another video on Monday ot Tuesday.
I can do all the upper body stuff but anything that envolves my knees forget it
I used to do a fast weight training routine (low weights/high reps - I'm a girl, after all) that took about 42 pounds off of me in a short period of time and dropped me by more than ten sizes in that weight loss. I picked that book back up, but think I will add interval training instead of elliptical, or at least alternate the two.
Thank you for an informative article!
For anyone who is having knee pain I highly recommend you correct the issues involving the pain. In a healthy knee the pain is typically caused by poor alignment issues surrounding the knee and hip. Once you correct the muscle imbalances and tightness, the knee pain magically disappears.
I can't stress to you enough how important it is to work your legs. Since the majority of your lean muscle is in your legs, you're missing out on really boosting your metabolism if you are only working your upper body.
Also, keep in mind that using the elliptical, treadmill, or bike, is not the same as doing squats, lunges, step-ups, or deadlifts to spike your metabolism...
Keep up the great work!
