I finally bought the paint and started on my project in the living room. I have been wanting to do this for about a year now. The supplies were all ready to go for a while now. I started the project at around 9am Sat. morning and finished Sat. night about 9pm. Included in that time frame was trimming with the masking tape, climbing up and down the ladder, running out of masking tape, a small amount of cussing when I spilled some burgandy paint on the carpet, a trip to the store, small cigerette breaks in the garage, enlisting my husband to help move the heavy furniture, and stopping for lunch and supper.

Here are a couple of (before) photos of my living room. The walls were just a drab white and I was very tired of looking at them every day.

The paints I chose for the living room were a beige color called Nutmeg Frost and also a deep burgandy color for an accent wall. The name of it was Red Tea. I like that both of my walls are spicy names.

If you look closely at the back wall in this photo, you can see the new beige paint on the wall. I think it went well with the original white trim that was already there.
And now a drum roll please..................................The finished product.

I was very happy with how the burgandy wall turned out. It is my very favorite color, so it just stands that would be the color I chose to see every day. Hope you enjoyed the photos of my living room.

Great job!
I normally wouldn't like that shade of beige but it goes perfectly with the burgandy.
Don't you just love how much just some paint can change a room?
They are the same colors my daughter picked to do her living room and open stairway.
girl, start moving - if you've been sitting down for more than 15 minutes get up and walk around - drink water and go watch my beach videos for inspiration!!! have a great day! Salud
Thanks for dropping by. I'm drinking my water.
Congrats. I would be very happy if I were you!
Love the red wall! I have a red wall in my dining room. My Mom had a red ceiling, and though she painted the walls several times over the years, the red ceiling never needed repainting and it mellowed into a fuzzy cherry color over time. I hope my wall does that, too. You are brave to take on red. I think we ended up with about 9 coats to cover white!
