It's time for another edition of "Friday's Thoughts". But today's is a little more special since it's Friday the 13th!
Ah... Friday the 13th. That movie scared the crap out of me when I was little. I think I was in kindergarten when I saw it with my cousins at the drive-in. I couldn't go to the bathroom by myself for a couple of days afterwards because of the scene where Jason breaks through the floor and grabs the woman while she's on the toilet. I still can't watch a Friday the 13th movie. I love the Halloween movies with Michael Myers, but Jason Voorheis just freaks me out. I also get freaked thinking about The Exorcist. Granny let me watch that when I was 8. I begged Aunt Nancy to take me home with her because I just knew Satan was waiting for me in that red bedroom.

Speaking of Aunt Nancy, she had her third brain surgery last week to remove scar tissue from previous surgeries. I talked to her on Monday, and she sounds great.

The Mississippi River is pretty high right now. It's at 22 feet right now here in Hannibal, expecting to crest at 29 feet the middle of next week. They gave the order to evacaute the east part of LaGrange, MO yesterday morning. LaGrange is about 25-30 miles north of here. They were begging for people to help sandbag this morning on the news. It's rained all night and supposed to rain all day. I am so glad I live in a higher part of Hannibal and away from the river. The city put in the flood gates on Monday. They built them after the massive flood of 93, they sure have helped protect the downtown area.
Katie (my sister) and I had supper at Pizza Hut the other night. I don't understand her desire to order pasta. You have pizza at Pizza Hut! LOL
Triple points week will be over tonight. Mom, Dad, Roy, and Katie all had a good chuckle when they found out that I use Google Spreadsheets to keep track of my points. Complete with graphs and everything.
Fashion Bug in Hannibal and Quincy is closing at the end of July. I bought some new jeans and several shirts last night from there. I got them all off the buy 4 or more and get 70% off racks. I got about $110 worth of clothes for $44!
The mid-season finale of Battlestar Galactica is tonight. I haven't written reviews for the last two or three episodes, but I plan to rectify that this weekend. I wonder if they'll reveal the 12th Cylon at the very end of the episode, giving us months to ponder the ramifications of that person being a toaster.

Anyway, I enjoyed your article.
Keep dry.
I am definately going to have to get to Fashion Bug and see if I can get a few bargains. I keep forgetting to stop in there.
I am so happy I live in a HIGH part of Hannibal too. I feel bad for all those folks that have to evacuate or there home are damaged badly.
It's afternoon and it's stopped raining here for now.
Have a great weekend!
Black Friday passed me by without me even noticing it.
As to the floods in your neck of the woods - stay safe!
