I don't try to conform with today's politically correct attitude because I don't agree with it!
Even though I was a drugged up hippie in my teen years, I was instilled with some old fashioned values that have stuck with me.
I don't believe men and woman are equal and need to compete! I believe we are just different and were meant to compliment and support each other. I still believe in holding a door open for a woman!
I don't believe in giving my kid "time out," ......because if I spank him he will phone social services!
I don't believe in self entitlement and being owed a living and respect. I believe that anything we have, or get, has to be earned.
I don't believe that treating everyone as an equal is the way to go, but I do believe that people should try and get along and respect each other,. There will always be someone smarter or better looking, or more successful. Just as there will always be people who really are idiots and assholes.
I don't believe in doing what you want, whenever you want! Society has rules and they need to be obeyed.
I don't believe we are destined to follow a pre-determined path in life, but rather make our own luck and opportunities. (Christ I sound like John Lennon)
So!
With all that said, the thought crossed my mind that if pigs could talk and communicate with us, could we verbally greet them by saying: "How's it shakin', bacon?"
Or would that be considered an inter species slur!!!!!

They probably would consider it a slur, but they just might respond with something smart-alecky like "It's in the can, Man!"
I believe no one is really equal, but should be viewed so, under the law.
I believe in, time out", not as a means of punishment, but as a cooling off period. Time to reflect, before having.."the talk".
I believe in basic respect, and the rest is earned by reputation.
I belive there should be very basic societal rules, that all adhere to, so as to keep things, generally running as smoothly as possable. Other than that, it's no one elses business what I, or any other is doing.
We need a very basic criminal code, like, "no hitting, no stealing, etc...
Completely agree with you on the pre-determined path in life, scenerio.
On the pig? I'd hope it would have an equally snarky reply, in response.
We can influence our own luck and opportunities, but our lives are determined by fate.
What?!? They are not.
I jsut know that whilst I had a piglet called Harley I couldn't buy pork!
