I'm looking for compatriots in the ABNA contest. Would love to talk about how you wrote your pitches, wanting a little sympathy and support while we wait. And wondering who is choosing the 500 pitches from the thousands of entries? Does anyone know?

The only thing I can say is that I took what was important to my novel and put it into my synopsis. I entered my story, The End of Olivia's Innocence.
The story is basically about a woman that is forced into an arranged marriage.
And, her best friend in the world, is a known "seducer of innocents"
But, everything is not how it seems.
Nathan's reputation is far more overblown and more rumor than fact.
When it comes to who is choosing the pitches, I wouldn't know. It might be different this year. Usually they have the list of judges on the site itself. They always have links on the side. Check it out and see if they have it posted somewhere.
I see you did. I'm over in Science Fiction. My excerpt is "Second Skin" - it's a mix of both mystery thriller and SF - I just picked the one that most of my readers would be drawn from.
To think reviewers from PW are reading our whole manuscripts - theoretically.
