I Got My Proof Copy of My Book..

and it's beautiful!

T'ain't Nobody's Business is an actual book now!

There was one extra page in the middle that I elected to take out, so I resubmitted it with that change and will order another proof before I make it for sale (in about 2 weeks,) but the pictures printed perfectly and the cover is just unbelievable!

I am so, so proud of this book!

I keep wiping away tears. It's like seeing your baby for the first time in a lot of ways.

JoAnne, there's a picture of the cover in my images and also in the article that is titled "My Heart is Beating So Fast.."

Ginny, I am self-published. Usually I publish through Lulu, but this time I'm trying out CreateSpace, which costs a little less and provides an ISBN for free.

Janet, I don't know which local stores will carry it yet. It's hard to get the chains to carry self-published books, but I intend to try to get it into the independents.

It will definitely be available at Amazon, though, as soon as I get the next and final proof copy!

It is, but reality is setting in a little bit now. I'm starting to think, I've got this great book and I'm proud of it, and now I've got to somehow get people to buy it with no money to promote it...

Congrats Rhetta! I just self published my novel on lulu -- I got in on a sale that gave me a free ISBN. I haven't heard of CreateSpace, I'll have to check it out.

I really do like Lulu, and I saw that ISBN offer. I will probably use Lulu again in the near future, to revise Ghost to Coast, if they keep that offer going.
