In these uncertain economic times, people want answers - one reason perhaps why Google's brand value is soaring and bank brands are plunging.
Google's brand value rose 25% to $31.9bn (£19.5bn) from the year before according to Interbrand's survey of global brands, the year's biggest rise.
This is the first time that the total value of the world's top 100 brands - down 4.6% at $1.15 trillion - fell.
The world's two most valuable brands remained Coca Cola and IBM.

Being able to photograph a barcode and check if it is cheaper on line or at the store is an amazing idea.
Google is full of creative and innovative people. I think we'll be hearing so much more from Google in the future. They are so in tune with what's needed, what the future will need. And they're such a deal. So much free software, so many benefits. Cloud computing model. Everything is managed by others means tremendous cost savings.
He's so right regarding truth and spin. As we advance further in technology, the problem with deceit and spin is going to get worse and worse. It would seem a good area to consider for employment or service possibilities. Beating the spin.
I know I've seen this one before but it's worth watching again. There's a lot of good information in his talk.
