I don't think it will ever stop nor did it stop for the 8 years that Bush was supposedly cleaning up Clinton's mess (although I have no idea what kind of mess that would be) not to mention I think it is presumptous of anyone to think that the previous administration doesn't hold some responsibility for the affairs of our nation and to assume that after 8 months it will be resolved is utterly ridiculous.

I say it's presumptous to think a whole series of past administrations haven't contributed to the "mess". It's easy to point at one Pres and scream foul depending on your political persuasion. Why don't we focus more on the career politicians who remain seated as administrations come and go? Bush or BO could/can push for anything they want but the Congress has to make it law. Why let them off the hook? They (Congress) have spent us into the deepest financial hole the world has ever seen and we look for one guy to blame. Methinks they are amused by our lack of understanding.

And who was it that destroyed the economy with his cronyism, wealthy tax cuts and corporate wars? It was a whole series of past administrations that caused what we have today all from Johnson to Bush.

Johnice there is GREAT truth to your comment. If the Repubs were smart, and that seems politically impossible, they would enmasse perform a national mea culpa and take credit for allowing the Bush tax cuts, the drug company giveaway, the Iraq war debacle, violating the Constitution and allowing over-reach of exec authority, among other Bush era sins. It would steal the Dems thunder and allow the GOP to redefine itself in its tradtional role of socially neutral and fiscally conservative. But to do so would mean excising the cancer of the "Christian" right and the extremist element. There is no way they will ever have the courage or character to do so.

When it became obvious that Bush had allowed the country to lose its moral compass (like the Left had predicted he would) his supporters just fell away like autumn leaves off the tree of liberty............ without taking any responsibility with them and without insisting that anyone IN the Bush cabal be held to account. Must be nice for them to just pretend it never happened while the rest of us have to deal with the rubble and have OUR elected President be subjected to impossible demands that he just FIX it and do it yesterday while they tie his hands and obstruct in every way! Maybe had they IMPOSED a few of those restrictions 9 years ago................we wouldn't be in this worldwide meltdown! They need to just man up and let President Obama have a fair shot at helping to bail us out.

APE, I can certainly respect that yet, every person has a style of speaking and do you think that POTUS 44 is just fed up with having the "Leftover issues" brought up for him to own while he is breaking a produce sweat trying to fix it?

I can see it in every speaking session he is getting tense about having to hear and respond to repetitive pointed questions about the federal budget that is in shreds. He has a team of financial academics just studying the daily balancing act of where money can be shaved in order to pull us out of this mess.

I can just ask that those of us who support POTUS 44 have a little consideration for the facts of the budget crisis.

POTUS 44 has said that he owns the problem regardless of how we arrived as of noon Tuesday, January 20, 2009 and that he is working his way out of it.

Which calls to mind that many have pointed out that POTUS 44 uses "I" quite a often, these are the same "NO" folk who continue to point the finger at him as the 1st owner and operator of the issues at hand. How convenient for them to have a gentile calm POTUS who is at ease enough to allow them to be wrong to his face and accept the accusation with grace.

Sometimes he has to remind people that he didn't create these problems. Some conservatives seem to have forgotten and blame him for everything, although I'm sure you would never do that, Ivan.

I think Obama is trying to fix problems. I have not heard him blame presidnt Bush. Let's move forward and fix what needs to be fixed.

I'm simply as tired of getting alerts from groups about new articles which have nothing to do with the subject of the group as I am with Christians who whine about being "persecuted."

President Obama did blame the Bush Administration for his and congress' debt they've created. That's weird I don't remember Bush proposing a $900 billion health care plan, or forcing Obama to sign Cash for Clunkers or forcing Obama to sign the multiple billion dollar bailouts.

I'm not saying Bush is perfect, he did spend a lot of money, but Obama has spent WAY more and needs to be stopped. Obama needs to man up and stop blaming Bush for the massive debt.

But the point you have raised is of immense value. This is what I have been driving at for the last eight months and more. President Bush was alright for everyone when 9/11 took place and thereafter, there were cheers all round when he announced the "War on Terror". Applaudingly they cheered his entry into Iraq, Afghanistan and were quite pleased even when the military chased Taliban till the Pak-Af border, got rid of the tyrant Saddam who was a thorn on the back of the US and the world and who made a bonefire of war on terror, eliminated his ruthless sons, nabbed saddam and handed him over to Iraqi government, eliminated Zarcawi, got Pearl's killers to stand trial etc etc. So they gave Pz.Bush a second term. But thereafter they lost their logic since no more achievements were forthcoming. So a majority of these reasonable people defected and got Obama in the chair. We sure need to give Obama also time to get his formula out for which I await a two year term. Well, he does has good intentions but US will require results and after it is seen within the next two years, we may put the great question - How long will you blame?

Just wait... if things don't turn around for the better and with the huge debt we now have, imagine the guy following President Obama into office, LOL.

This post has absolutely NOTHING to do with race. How you came to that conclusion is beyond me. but as far as using the "blame card", I want the President to do just what you said: "Get over it! Get on with it!"

Until the Bush Administration is held accountable and brought to justice or until the mess they created is completely cleaned up, which ever comes first. At that point, the blame will still belong to the Bush Administration but it might not be necessary to keep reminding everyone.

It's never going to stop, Ivan. It's history. It's in the books. Worst President ever. The tab this drunk driver at the wheel ran up in eight years will take decades to undo. If you voted for him, you owe the rest of us an apology.

History? Did you forget the other 80 odd years since FDR of overspending and government abuse? Bush, as bad as he was still hasn't passed LBJ or FDR for destruction.

I have a lot of respect for what FDR accomplished. You probably should too but are too brainwashed not to. How the GOP gets people to be their foot soldiers, campaigning against themselves, their interests and those of their grandchildren is quite the trick.

He'll continue until the press calls him on it. Some have but not enough. Right now its still working but with diminishing effects.
