In one day, Southern and Central Oklahoma shook with at least 8 earthquakes. Magnitudes ranged from 2.5 to 3.7. I have felt earthquakes in Oklahoma, and the town I live in has had an earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale.
The significance of this is the country's central location. I monitor earthquakes and have earthquake insurance. My main reason is that I have an in-ground pool, but with Yellowstone bubbling, I truly believe the Central U.S. is due and overdue for a big one.
It is not too unusual to have a small earthquake in Oklahoma, but to have eight in one day, has me a little shook up.

I didn't know Oklahoma had so many earthquakes until my daughter took a weather course at OU.
Was visiting in California Bay area and in Reno when little ones occurred, they still made me nervous!
