he's definitely one of those who "knows" what's best for us, no matter what the price tag is.....he backed ACORN giving people houses that cound't afflord them and helped crush the banking industry......

I've been hearing this crap for all of the six years the republicans held the congress during Bush's adminstration but I guess the two years at the end is where all the action failed. Barney Frank caused the banking industry to crash.

The greedy banking industry caused their own failure. Why do you refuse to acknowledge that they were the one's who sold worthless mortgages all over the world? Why is it you refuse to see that they were the ones who created sub prime companies and sold loans to anyone even to some who had not the income to pay them? What makes you believe that the ACORNs and all the community groups put together would even scratch the surface of the piss poor loans issued totally across the nation yet you can only point at ACORN? Why not the many church groups, the many city agencies across the country, the League of Women Voters and a host of other goups who fought against red lining different citizens? No you cannot even image that the banks refused loans to people who qualified yet then sent them to their sub prime companies and charged them ungodly rates. You just wish to remain smug in your own unbelievable lack of knowledge. You would prefer to believe that one man (Frank) caused the bank crash because he fought against regulating the banks and Freddie and Fannie. Where were all those good ole repubs if they were so concerend about the regulations? Oh, I'm sorry they were busy vilifying ACORN giving those who would believe the sun sets in the east someone to blame for their lousy non action and to place blame everyplace but on themselves and the banking industry.

Mr. Frank was first alluding to a protestor's poster comparing President Obama to Hitler and then the shouting that was brought on by the protestors that then in turn made Mr. Frank shout back. I mean really what you would do if you were standing up in front of a group of people being screamed out as you tried to hold a civilized and calm debate? Screaming and name calling is not debating and I think Mr. Frank simply said what we all had been thinking and wanting to say for quite some time.

I wasn't on Gather during either Bushes' terms. But I had to vote for W. in his second bid because only he was qualified to keep the war committed so the US would not lose face with the rest of the world. But I don't like him at all.

it's like most things they mandate...they give a little bit to those and then expect the reciprients to find their own way to pay for it......

he made a lot of banks give out loans to people that had no real rights to them....they lose their home and then they get sold to the investors...there is a gentleman here in So. O. that helped put these people into the home and now since they have failed he can sell them on the market....

it's kind of a back door to beating the system.....
