The strange bedfellows of far left activists, and House Republicans took on bailouts this weekend, with all the expected results. After doubling the size and complexity of the bill every couple of hours, a compromise is being nailed down that everyone in favor of partisan legislation can hardly call their own.
A partisan battle like this is not pretty, but this is exactly what will happen during the next administration.
A do nothing Congress is one that is doomed to compromise. A bipartisan Congress is much the same, but with higher poll numbers.
Who can be assured of being left out in the cold, in either case? Partisans on both sides.
