THE LIBERAL US CONGRESS IN ACTION AGAIN

The liberal controlled US Congress is back in action and they are appointing Senator Feinstein and Barbara Boxer as accident investigators for the recent Metro rail accident in Southern California.  The accident killed over 24 people and injured hundreds and lends itself to the kind of opportunity that liberals thrive on for self aggrandizement, money and political power.  Enter Feinstein and Boxer. 

The real accident investigation proceeded and reveals that a red, warning stop light was ignored by the Metro rail train before it crashed into the second train going in the opposite direction.  Further two teen age boys reported that the engineer, Mr. Sanchez, was text messaging them just before, or during the accident.  Also revealed was the fact that there was no automatic safety primary or backup for reacting to the red signal light indication by stopping the Metro rail train.  News reports from the media state that the Metro rail investigators and employees say there currently is no safety equipment available.  And besides, it would cost too much to install. 

As a result of all of this Senator Feinstein and Barbara Boxer have decided as a result of the investigation that the accident was almost unavoidable.  Further, Barbara Boxer, being the good staunch representative for the liberal unions, has been most opportunistic in serendipitously thinking that it may be a good idea to provide duplicate employees in the person of a backup engineer to stop the train if the primary engineer fails to do so.    

The accident is destined to be an "act of God" as a result of the Feinstein and Boxer US Liberal Congressional Investigation.  The recommendation is on the way for an alternate engineer as a safety backup. 

This accident investigation by Feinstein and Boxer is as ridiculous as it can get.  Not mentioned or swept under the rug is the news report that the engineer, Mr. Sanchez, had a history far from the norm.  His roommate who was reported to be HIV positive committed suicide and it raises the question as to the effect on Mr. Sanchez.  Was Mr. Sanchez too close to his old roommate and thus, psychologically disturbed by the suicide?  Also, there were news reports that Mr. Sanchez was arrested in the past for felony shoplifting and had a police record. There was mention of a recent accident which preceded this accident which cost over twenty four lives and injured over a hundred. 

To anyone looking for causes in an accident this would seem to demand pause for thought and move investigation.  For instance, is it common practice to put employees in a position as the engineer of a Metro rail train on which so many lives could be in danger?  What is the limit on the cost of safety equipment installation and maintenance on a train which would add protection for the humans riding the train?  In the case of the airlines there have been very expensive additions of safety equipment put in place to protect the public lives dependent on foiling terrorists and preventing aircraft functional failures.  But, the airlines have provided, as best they can, the implementation of safety equipment in an act of responsibility for their patrons. 

Other questions that should be asked and answered would be:

1. Was the best possible selection of an employee to be the engineer made?

2. Have narcotics and other stimulants been adequately tested for on a periodic basis?  If found present in the employee, Mr. Sanchez, was there recourse to protect the train riding patrons by suspension or other actions as a deterrent to dangerous operation of the Metro train?

3.  Were the proper investigations made to examine if there could be any terrorist involvement by the engineer?

4.  Were Metro train records scrutinized for proper maintenance procedures?

5.  Was the engineer's citizenship checked, or was he an illegal alien?

6. Where is the complete police report and accident investigation to date and is it ready for review to answer the question of future requirements and the cause of this accident which cost over 24 lives and many injured?

All of these questions and more should be searched out to the best of the investigative personnel's ability.  But, they should be attended to with or without complete answers to provide the best possible answers for accident cause and how to prevent another accident in the future.

One result that has certainty is the grab for recognition and the award of another liberal voting employee as a backup to the engineer.  Thanks to Senator Feinstein and Barbara Boxer.
