I've been reading, furiously, about Morningstar Ministries and her involvement. These are some very scary people. This is the church that Jim Jones was in. Wouldn't you think that would scare some people?

Well, although all this stuff is rather intimidating, I don't feel the need to get hyped up about it. We all know how the press and any other sort of media can take something like this and blow it WAY out of proportion, and even get some of their facts wrong, it's not uncommon for them to get it wrong. I think it's best we wait and see what happens in the elections and wait for actual concrete proof that she has bad intentions, as of now I don't see anything concrete that she has any poor intentions, just a bunch of manipulative writings, using words that targe emotions and patriotism to make you miss the fine details. The articles quickly state that she has connections with this 'Joel's Army', but then go immediately into talking about the army and not her, quite honestly with the way they're writing the stuff I don't believe any of it. This stuff may seem unbiased and pure factual, but the truth is, there is nothing in the news that is unbiased unless it's actual statistics.

On a side note, I have done studies on many religions, and I'm not going to say what religion I believe in because it is irrelevant, I find this whole thing oddly resemblant to the stories in the Bible that talk about the way Lucifer wanted to run things on earth. The whole idea of forcing people to obey god's command and all that jazz. This "leader" is pretty much doing the same thing, and I also find it odd that someone who is such an extremist with this would cover themselves in tatoos, because, for those who read into the bible and such, god states that our body is our temple, and temples are supposed to be untainted right? So why does he have tatoos everywhere? Personally, I think he's just some person who has a messed up thirst for power, and probably has convinced himself that he is satan or something, but who knows for sure, we just have to sit around and wait until they do something that makes it obvious to the nation and world that it's a corrupt lineage, besides their empty threats of taking the world over by force, honestly, Hitler tried that, and he did extremely well at it, but it just doesn't work, we have to remember that he is still human, and that he will brake at some point if he were to try anything, and thus making everyone under him brake, history repeats itself.

No, Jason, sitting around and waiting is the exact thing we CANNOT do. We've just experienced 8 years of sitting around and waiting. The time is NOW to defend ourselves agains out "leaders".

still, by doing something to her, or getting mad at her for something we can't even say we know for sure has been her intentions, then we're pretty much destroying what this countries about to begin with, you have to keep in mind that she has every right that you do, just because she's in the runnings for a high office, doesn't mean that she loses her rights. Let me point out to you what happened to Richard Nixon, yes we all know about the truths behind what he did, but that's not the point. When the nation heard about his "fund" we all ASSUMED that he was using is for his own use. we all ASSUMED that he was giving favors for this money. We all ASSUMED that is was for a poor cause. BUT in fact, that money was being used to pay for expenses that would've gone to us as tax payers, he didn't even keep it a secret, the information just wasn't brought out well enough for people to realise the truth behind what was going on. That's all there is to it, we are ASSUMING that she has, and still is, involved with this group and has bad intentions. We treated Nixon worse than crap, sure, he might not have been our best president, but he was still our president, and rather than treating him nicely, and giving him his privacy, we denied any possibility that a single part of his life remain a secret to the public, he let us shred through him so that the nation could move on, lets not shred through another person just because we THINK she's going to cause big problems.

Nixon, My friend, was a felon, and a schizoid liar, and deserved everything he got. No, he deserved more than he got. That fund was hardly all of the problem, there was his break in at the democratic headquarters offices at some famous hotel, maybe you heard of that? Maybe his use of the IRS as a retaliatory instrument, maybe his illegal wiretapping of political enemies. It was only the corruption of Ford, who pardoned him that saved his rope deserving a**. The wages of sin, and all that. Moronic. Palin is dangerous on so many levels that she too, deserves no quarter, and it looks like she will get none with the Alaska legislature. Jason, for your next act, could you defend Hitler? I got such a laugh out of your defense of Nixon, it would just be so much fun to read.

To be completely honest about the situation, I personally just want them to be treated like humans, we can only expect what we give, however for the elections, I honestly don't want any of the people in office, none of them seem to be fit for the job, or well informed enough to handle this country well. I'm willing to admit that watching Zeitgeist has put quite a few questions in my mind and has made me wonder if some things are really what they seem to be, but I choose not to train any of those thoughts because it's thoughts like those that create an inhumane society. Thoughts like those make us hate one another and prevent us from developing ourselves as a race. My only purpose behind defending people, is that I am able to see that they are still people, and have emotions, and hurt just like everyone else. Nixon may have deserved everything he got, maybe more, then again he might not have, but what difference does it honestly make? in the end if we do terrible things to him for terrible things he did, what makes us different from him?

Jason, Nobody "thought" that GWB and his band of merry men would corporatize our country, destroy our economic structure, rip our rights out of the Constitution, get in bed with foreign oil for personal gain, attack a country on a whim, and lie, lie, lie while covering his ass with both hands. That's the problem, Jason, THINK! THINK about how the team of McCain/Palin as they further radical right-wing religious ideas into action. KILL, KILL, KILL in the name of GOD? We'll be at war with Russia in a heartbeat. Women's rights will be stripped back 50 years. Off-shore oil wells will be popping up all along the Pacific Coast. And Johnny-boy and Sister Sarah will be laughing all the way to the bank.....or church. Bush got the ball rolling; you can bet that Republicans learned from him. Take another look at who McCain's other choices for V.P. were available. EACH of them are radical, religious nuts. (Except for Giuliani, of course, that man has no soul whatsoever) They can't WAIT to bring their religious wack-o's into government. Seperation of church and state will no longer be an option. The First Freedom will be "whited out" of our constitution.
Nixon's antics were a cake walk compared to what I "think" we can expect from the McCain/Palin team.

Alright, for the sake of not being in the sort of condition to put up a fight for at least treating these people like they're people, we can agree that McCain/Palin coming into presidency would be a devistation to pretty much everything. To a certain extent I just want whoever the president to give a damn about the environment for a change, sure Obama might not be the most informed person and what not, but at least he has good intentions. I want my children to grow up in a place that still has a blue sky, and oil isn't blue last time I checked, and we all know it doesn't burn blue either.

Jason, we all want a cleaner planet on which to live. If we can't save this one, our own survival is truely threatened. Senator Obama has already challenged auto technology with a 10-year deadline. He has stated he will help OUR OWN manufacturers to re-tool their equipment to accomplish this challenge. McCain said the same thing....AFTER the idea came out of Obama's mouth.

None of us are angry with you, Jason. None of think you're foolish or an idiot. We want you to recognize that putting the Republicans back into the White House will bring us only more grief, more suffering.

What has already happened this morning? Turn on the radio. If we get through this day without the stock market falling right through the floor, it will only be because Bush will once again bail out BIG BUSINESS with our tax dollars.

Palin is self imploding and, while this won't phase the right wing, I can't see many Clinton supporters switching over for her.

Her lack of knowledge of the Bush Doctrine was particularly surprising and was perhaps the first of many interesting revelations (oops, wrong word).

But speaking of revelations I believe that while a person's religious beliefs should be private, those that may be in the oval office might represent one little exception. I'd like for the public to know if Palin is an end-timer as was the pastor who stood beside her at a recent service that was video taped, and particularly if she is an Armageddonite, one who believes in actively bringing about the end times, politically and financially.

Aunt Boni, I could not agree more. Although one's religious views should be separate from one's political ones, that person needs to tell us they are. If, like Bush, Palin gets her instructions from God... that is scary. Our morality? Sure. Our behavior? Of course. But Palin in her limited political service has already demonstrated her 'style', and it is not presidential, nor even vice presidential. McCain with his impulsiveness made a poor decision. Hopefully, people will have a chance to actually hear Palin in a debate and they will be able to make up their own minds about whether she is the kind of leader we want.

It is certainly her right to run as a candidate, as this is still a free country. That said, once she decided to run, she waived her rights to privacy in areas where our country's future would be at stake.
