Casting Stones While Standing Under A Boulder
If McCain made propaganda videos for the North Vietnamese in a desperate attempt to avoid more agonizing torture, who among us could cast that stone? When it is completely without doubt that not one of us possesses the capability to withstand prolonged and repeated torture, it is completely without sincerity, completely without honesty to condemn someone else for being incapable of withstanding it.
****** I have known several officers that were POWs in Vietnam who did not make videos or sign "confessions". I guess they could throw a few stones.
Being a prisoner who made propaganda videos sure as he** don't make him a hero.
Condem him no. Every man has his limit. It still don't make him a hero

So true Dorothy and it bears repeating
Dee, Some choice a has been or a never has been. Why can't we have a choice between qualified and competent candidates?
I am still Pushing for Ron Paul and will until he officially drops out. If he does he will endorce a like minded candidate and I will push for him.
As to McCain, the only reason he is called a hero is because of his family. His grandaddy and daddy were both Admirals. They saw to it that their offspring never took any abuse from the press or public for his transgressions. It was the same back in history when a bloodthirsty gloryhound got himself and his whole troop wiped out because of a stupid mistake. They call him General Custer but he was Colonel Custer. He was a brevet Brigadeer in the civil war. Brevet is a temporary rank.
