I think he is a hero just because he is still alive.That in its self doesn't mean he would make a good President. But what choice do we have? The old soilder or the young want to be?

I think he did do some things to obstruct getting back some of the P.O.W.s. It's just too bad the "maimscream" media did such a good job of obstructing Dr. Ronnie. McCain probably doesn't have too bad of a record at controlling spending, but there are so many of his other policies that are really goofy (campaign finance reform=abridgement of free speech, etc.). I think the next big act of the play will only come when the VPs are chosen. I wish he would pick someone like William Weld, who at least is a bit more libertarian. Thanks for posting this!

There is more than a good chance that this race will involve the VP choices more than usual. Not familiar with Weld, if he gets to be McC's VP choice I will know him well before the campaign ends.

I am still Pushing for Ron Paul and will until he officially drops out. If he does he will endorce a like minded candidate and I will push for him.

As to McCain, the only reason he is called a hero is because of his family. His grandaddy and daddy were both Admirals. They saw to it that their offspring never took any abuse from the press or public for his transgressions. It was the same back in history when a bloodthirsty gloryhound got himself and his whole troop wiped out because of a stupid mistake. They call him General Custer but he was Colonel Custer. He was a brevet Brigadeer in the civil war. Brevet is a temporary rank.
