Winning the war on Islamic Terror tomorrow

June 26, 2008 06:57 PM EDT (Updated: June 26, 2008 06:58 PM EDT)

In 1911 the US Miitary faced crazed Islamic Terrorists that rushed to their death to become Martyrs. General John "Black Jack" Pershing had an answer. His men captured twenty of the terrorists and put them in front of a firing squad. With their hands tied behind their backs, the terrorists watched in horror as the soldiers brought out three pigs and slaughtered them. The soldiers then dipped their bullets in the pigs blood and shot all but one of the terrorists. The lone survivor then watched as his comrades were tossed in the make shift grave they were made to dig for themselves and then the  remainder of the pigs blood was dumped in on top of the bodies. The last man was released and told to spread the word about how Americans deal with terrorists.  They were not bothered again by extremist muslims.

That's true Dr. until today. I think the left would have a collective mental meltdown today. The left would not care about the end result. Christina it has nothing to do with humiliation. The Muslim faith considers pork impure and anyone with it in his or her body cannot enter heaven. Thus no eternal bliss, no 72 virgins, etc.

People don't realize it but Hitler's Nazi members and officers were in fact German 'Christians' that hated Jews among others. Another hate group that considers itself a 'Christian' group is the Ku Klux Klan with their own peculiar bigotries. And the hatred continues today even as we speak...

Still buying that bull about "Islamic extremists" killing while dying for virgins and heavenly reward? It is personal and political, not about religious domination but getting out from under imperial domination, by so-called Christian nations. And hear I really wanted to believe the myth about Christians following a holy order based on love, peace, toleration for all, taking care of the least, and turning away from violence.

"Terrorist" wasn't used in the modern sense back then, let alone combined with "Islamic". Whether this ever happened or not, you'd be talking about insurgents/separatists in a particular part of Philippines that, unlike the rest, had a majority Muslim population. The Moros' fight for sovereignty had then been going on for centuries, and it's not very helpful to conflate this with today's terrorists.

Yes absolutely. More humans have been killed in the name of ''all'' religions throughout history, than any other reason. Religion is after all man made.

I think people missed my sarcasm. I don't support using terror on terrorists. How would that make us different from them? I do believe, though, that there is an element of religion to this "war". It isn't Christian's against Muslims. It is religious radicals against peace-loving nations for the most part. War is disgusting in itself, is it not? To defend against Guantanamo --- would you rather that we torture or saw the heads off of terrorists and suspected accomplices rather than making them wear pink underwear?

Your facts are wrong Dr. I am no religious zealot but more people have been killed by secular regimes than for any other reason. Start adding up the number of people killed by Communist Russia after WWII, the Nazis (regardless of what Lori would have you believe Nazism had nothing to do with Christianity, the Jews were not killed because they killed Christ, it was economic, they also killed Catholics, cripples, dwarfs, people with mental disorders), the Communist Vietnamese (remember Cambodia), the Communist Cubans (Remember Che you guys love him), Communist China. and on and on. Also Lori there is a book out called the Third Terrorist you should read it, it explains Oklahoma City. McVie and Nichols, while terrorists were not radical Christians. Did they retaliate against what happened at Waco? Yes, but it also had to do with Ruby Ridge which had nothing to do with religion. They were not members of the Waco cult their reasons were that the government was violating citizens rights, not Christian values, as for abortion clinic bombings when is the last time that happened? Dan, Tony, and Sandy you are all examples of why liberalism is a mental disorder. The bottom line is it worked. I suppose you would rather see more American lives lost because that wouldn't be unfair or disgusting. I find the loss of American life far more disgusting than the lives of 19 terrorists.

The Christian religions blamed the death of Christ on the Jews. One can see in the Bible the statement that the Jews demanded the death of Jesus, and said, "let it be upon our heads and that of our children." This became an excuse to abuse the Jews for more than a thousand years. It was not until the 1960s that the Catholic Church stated that the Jews were NOT to blame for the death of Jesus.

In the 1930s there was a lot of anti-Jewish feeling and resentment in the Western world. Many Jews who tried to escape the persecution in Germany were refused entry into the US and other European countries and also many countries further afield.

I don't hate any one my God said that I should love every one ,but He didn't have to like their life stiles or their ways . so with all this hatred and bickering is all in vain, It might give some one an avenue to vent their anger, but doesn't solve any problems. Just the word Christianity makes some people's blood boil., but there will comw a time when they will stand before God ans answer for every word ever spoken, so lighten up there is a better way.

So Shawn the Nazis killed the Jews because they were Jews but not because they were Jews right.

The fact is that there are numerous reasons why the Nazis singled out Jews. The Jewish Bankers and yes that was economics and then there is the theory that Hitlers fathers mother was Jewish and he was scorned.

So the fact that so many Jews were killed doesnt mean that Hitler was targeting the Jews for being Jews...must have been a coincidence right?

Why didnt he kill all the bankers or the lawyers but why single out the Jewish ones?

He singled out the Jews because the German economy was in the tank after the sanctions from WWI. The Jews were the most successful people in Germany the vast majority of yes bankers as well most other businesses were Jewish. Hitler used class warfare and blamed the Jews (non-Arian not non-Christians) for Germany's economic woes. WWII is one of my favorite historical times this should be fun. I was raised by a father that actually liberated concentration camps. Not Aschwitz that was the 1st Soviet Army and Obama's uncle. lol

Very commendable what your father did. But as I stated there are many theories as to why Hitler singled out the Jews. Yes they were leaders in economics but not all Jews were successful and rich and they ended up in concentration camps also so to say his hatred of Jews was only based on class and economics is not a true statement.

And there was world wide anti sematism attitudes at that time.

Shawn but his speeches were all propaganda aimed at controlling the masses and at that time in Germany people were poor and starving so in order to come to power he blamed the Jews...who also were getting a bad rap in the rest of the world at that time...for poverty.

Hitler was raised a catholic and I read in one of my advanced history books about how a very successful...I dont remember his name but can look it up if you want me to....banker who was also a German Lutheran befriended Hitler. So he didnt target all bankers.

"In the course of my life I have very often been a prophet, and have usually been ridiculed for it. During the time of my struggle for power it was in the first instance only the Jewish race that received my prophecies with laughter when I said that I would one day take over the leadership of the State, and with it that of the whole nation, and that I would then among other things settle the Jewish problem. Their laughter was uproarious, but I think that for some time now they have been laughing on the other side of their face. Today I will once more be a prophet: if the international Jewish financiers in and outside Europe should succeed in plunging the nations once more into a world war, then the result will not be the Bolshevizing of the earth, and thus the victory of Jewry, but the annihilation of the Jewish race in Europe!"

Shawn the Swiss bankers financed the Nazis so Hitler didnt have a hatred for all bankers just the Jewish ones.

There are many factors to why Hitler used the Jews as a scapegoat...one being economics as we are discussing but he also used their religion. Most of Germany is Luthern or Catholic and the Germans he couldnt control with the economic aspect he controlled with the Jews killed Jesus aspect. So if one speech didnt win them over the other would.

You have an example of one of Hitlers speeches...How many do you suppose he made in his life?

The 400 Soviet Commissars of Jewish nationality - they do not suffer; the thousands upon thousands of sub-Commissars - they do not suffer. No! all the treasures which the 'proletarian' in his madness took from the 'bourgeoisie' in order to fight so-called capitalism - they have all gone into their hands. Once the worker appropriated the purse of the landed proprietor who gave him work, he took the rings, the diamonds and rejoiced that he had now got the treasures which before only the 'bourgeoisie' possessed. But in his hands they are dead things - they are veritable death-gold. They are no profit to him. He is banished into his wilderness and one cannot feed oneself on diamonds. For a morsel of bread he gives millions in objects of value. But the bread is in the hands of the State Central Organization and this is in the hands of the Jews: so everything, everything that the common man thought that he was winning for himself, flows back again to his seducers. Adolf Hitler.

You'll notice nowhere does he say the killers of Christ.

"My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded only by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish poison. Today, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before in the fact that it was for this that He had to shed His blood upon the Cross. As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice... And if there is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly it is the distress that daily grows."

Adolph Hitler 1927

The Jews he viewed as enemies of all civilization and as materialistic, unspiritual beings, writing in Mein Kampf: "His life is only of this world, and his spirit is inwardly as alien to true Christianity as his nature two thousand years previous was to the great founder of the new doctrine." Hitler described his supposedly divine mandate for his anti-Semitism: "Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord."

Okay well I can certainly admitt when I am wrong. If Hitler made that speech it would appear that was another reason. I stand corrected. However I would still like to know what views I share with white supremacists.

Read the White Power Parties site. You'll start drawing the parallels.

Start with you preach discrimination against whites. You'll also find that in the KKK handbook.

Again, whites can't be victims of discrimination? Explain? If someone is killed because of the color of their skin it's not racist if they are white?

I agree shawn.

It kind of brakes down to this.

Jesus was a Jew..supposedly. But some not all christians love Jesus and hate the Jews for killing him but since Jesus was again a Jew then does that mean that these christians that hate Jews also hate Jesus for being a Jew and how can you be a christian and hate Jesus?

Did that make sense?

He served in WWI and WWII but couldn't get in Arlington

My Grandfather came to this country in the early 1900's from the Philipines. He met and married my Grandmother an Irish Catholic. This was an unusual union to say the least. It didn't take long before my mother and her brother and sister arrived. When my mom was old enough to start school my Grandfather used to make her walk atleast six feet in front of him. In those days had someone seen an Asian man walking down the street with a little white girl he would have been beaten up or worse. He never let the racism of the time to get to him though. He was proud to be an American.

When WWI roled around he joined the Army and went off to Europe to fight as an infantryman. He survived the war and came home to his family. After fighting in the war he finally felt like he deserved to be an American. He was very proud of his service and told my Grandmother often that when he died he wanted to be buried in Arlington National Cemetary.

The years rolled by and war once again broke out. The Japanese invaded the Phillipines and were raping, torturing, and killing the Filipino people. My Grandfather was constantly distraught with worry. The majority of his family still lived in the islands. Then the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor and my Grandfather immediately joined the Navy. While my father was serving as an Airborne Ranger in Europe my Grandfather fought in the Pacific as a gunner on a Navy ship.

The war progressed and my Grandfather fought with pride and honor. One day while standing on the deck of his ship, an Ensign walked into him. The lilly white Ensign immediately turned and started berating him. He could have taken being called stupid and told to watch where he was going (even though he was standing still) but that wasn't where it ended. The young officer called him a "stupid @#$^ing Jap!" My usually mild mannered Grandpa lost it and punched him in the mouth. This earned him six months in the Brigg and a dishonorable discharge from the Navy.

Even though the man served in WWI and received an honorable discharge we could not bury him in Arlington because he punched out a racist and got a dishonorable discharge from WWII. I know my Grandfather and he wouldn't be bitter. He would say that he was proud of his service and to be an American. He would say he struck a superior officer and had to suffer the consequences. It still doesn't pass the smell test with me though.

I agree Lori. It makes zero sense.

Just a note (not on Hitler per se - that ship has sailed): "terrorist" originally came into the world as a way to describe governments that use terror as a means of coercion, in this case, those reveling in the Reign of Terror. The way we use it now, though technically correct, is as applicable to what our country is doing as anything we're fighting. This article is an excellent and unabashed example of terrorism.

How proud we must be!

Dr. dummy (I may be dumb, but I'm not stupid) B. Jun 28, 2008, 1:05am EDT
Shawn,

Why are ''all'' your examples in the 20th century. I said ''history''. Not ''recent'' history.

''as for abortion clinic bombings when is the last time that happened?''

Not all violence against abortion clinics has been bombings. They have been in many forms, from bombings to anthrax threats. The first one being arson in 1976 to the 1993 murder of Dr, David Gunn, to Anthrax letter threat in 2002 and arson in 2007. And don't forget the most infamous one, Eric Robert Rudolph. Other than pleading guilty of the Centennial Park bombings, he admitted bombing 2 abortion clinics. BTW, Richard Jewell was wrongly accused by the government of the Olympic bombing. The never apologized, and he died a broken man at the age of 44 in 2007. Yea, government !!!! (sarcasm)

''The bible also states that the Jews a Gods chosen people ''

Shawn, you are quoting a book written by man, 300 years after the ''supposed'' event. And you believe it? I thought you were smarter than that.

''Would you like to talk about how in love your precious left was with Benito Musselini''

I don't know about the left and Musselini, but the ''right'' sure loved Hitler. Henry Ford, J.P. Morgan, the DuPonts, Andrew Mellon, the Rockefellers, E.F. Hutton, and Joseph Pew of Sunoco, were all admirers of Hitler. And that's just the ''short'' list. All Republicans. BTW, Hitler loved them too. And lets not forget the most prominent one. Senator Prescot Bu$h. The bu$h financial empire is actually based on his dealings with the Hitler fascist regime during WWII. Bankers do tend to finance ''both'' sides of a war. It is also reported that these industrialist, and Prescot Bu$h, tapped General Smedley Butler to amass an army of 500,000 disgruntled military, (called the Bonus Army) to overthrow FDR, and install a fascist regime in Washington.

And Lori is right. There were many reasons Hitler hated the Jews. And some were religious. Hitler actually was in possession of what he thought, was the spear of Jesus. The spear that pierced the side of Jesus was one of Hitlers most prized possessions. Of course, no one really knew if this was the actual spear, but Hitler thought it was. He believed that having it, made him invincible. He was wrong.

I thought you knew WWII history. What's up with that?

Don,

''Liberal view , murder is wrong no matter who does it''

Not true. Abortion ''is'' murder. If a fetus is living inside the womb, and you take it out, and make it dead for no reason, it's murder. But my point of view is, I don't agree with it, but it's none of my business if you want to get one. It's legal, so deal with it. I ''only'' agree with it, from rape, or the health of the mother. But it's the mother that makes that decision, not me.

You can call it whatever you like. I am for American and Americans. If that means to win a war by dipping a bullets in pigs blood I'm fine with that. One of the problems is the rediculous rules of engagement they've set up for our troops. You would have thought after Vietnam we would have learned you can't win a war by hamstringing our soldiers. Hell if it would win the war by laying waste to the entire region. So be it.

Hey I already addressed being wrong on the Hitler and Jew thing. I do know WWII better than a lot of people. Would you like to discuss who's laws Hitler's are more like modern conservative or modern liberal? Who's gun policy are Nazi gun laws more in line with? We already discussed he had no problem using class warfare. As for my examples of secular murder those modern regimes killed more people than Christians in 2000 years. That is pretty pathetic.

''Would you like to explain to me how I could be both part Asian and a white supremacist? Or how whites can't be victims of racism? You enjoy taking me to task. lol''

No. I don't disagree with you on that.

''Hey Dr. Have read the Reichs gun control laws? Have you ever heard the right trying to sell the whole redistribution of wealth blame the rich thing?''

As for the redistribution of wealth thing, that's not true. He just wanted what the Jews had. As someone stated above, Non Jewish bankers were pretty much left alone. And do you believe for one minute that if our economy was in such dire condition as the Germans, to the point of revolution, that the right wouldn't do something about gun control. They would snatch up as many guns as they could, to stay in power. It's called fascism, and I said above, the ''right'' loved it.

Nitey Nite. Catch you in the morning. Well later this morning.
