But the stupidity of the people that live in the United States of America wholly.
The people that voted George W. Bush into office are the ones to blame for the war in Iraq.
Therefore, any impeachment effort to impeach George W. Bush is an invalid step, as the war in Iraq was started by the people that voted for George W. Bush, not George W. Bush.
Understand who you vote for and why, as it's important

Having said that, I believe that Nancy Pelosi is right ... Dennis Kucinich's impeachment proposal is divisive and diversionary at this time. With less than a year to go under the current administration, we cannot afford to be swept up in the rhetoric that would accompany such a process. We need to spend our time seriously considering how we are going to fix the messes and decide who is best equipped to fix them.
Who's gonna stand up to Islamic terrorists? Do we just keep appeasing them? Can they live in world with individual and economic freedoms? If we give in to them, won't they just want more?
All this blame on Bush while the United Nations, France, Germany, and Russia were getting rich off the "Oil for Palaces" program and turning a blind eye to all the murder and torture going on in Iraq. Who was going to step in? Appeasesment seems to be the mode of operation for the European and American left.
I hope we are more aware today than we were in 2004, but the signs are that the politicos are using the same tactics that worked for them in the past.
I forgive the electorate for 2000. But 2004? Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
We can't continue to be fooled like this or in any other way. It will simply destroy this country if it hasn't already. Time will tell.
You can bet that things are worse than we think.
It's all about the money. Bush is from a dynastic oil family. Cheney was the head of Halliburton for crying out loud. And suck-up Norm Coleman was supposed to have some oversight but looked the other way, hoping to cash in for being such a good lapdog.
War is good business, and it can make a stinking and sinking economy look pretty good, right in time for the elections.
Remember Bush always saying how strong our economy was? Bull. Now we have the tax rebates? Nice try.
There are many pundits out there who make a lot of money. They will continue to serve their own selfish interests no matter what. They are not ethical, they are not moral, they are not even right! They are lying liars, which is the worse kind.
I won't mention any names, but their initials are Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter. They use fear to whip us into a frenzy and then rake in the dough. They've got poor Winston so riled up, I'm afraid he's going to explode!
In a different arena there is Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson and other self-righteous, self-serving hypocrites. They use God and religion to divide us and then they rake in the dough.
These un-Americans do a disservice to us all.
They pass "resolutions" that they have NO INTENTION to enforce (such as the 17 in Iraq) for only ONE purpose; to look good to the rest of the World, while they lie, cheat and steal here on U.S. soil.
I'm for the condo's!
Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson?
Come, now...I mean, really...
Great points as well, Kay, on the surrounding "sanctions' skullduggery."
Britian, Spain, Italy, Denmark, Poland, the Czech Republic all joined the coalition against Saddam in 2003. The only EU members who oppsed it were France and Germany. Now look at the EU. The left is out and conservatives dominate France, Italy, Germany and soon Britian and Spain.
Meanwhile Iraq is improving by the day.
I just hope that we do not repeat France and Germany's earlier mistake by electing Obama.
Obama's supporters dream of the soft Socialism of Europe. A dream the Europeans are now abandoning. Hell, even Socialist Sweden has adopted the dreaded market-oriented school voucher system.
But America better watch out. We got rid of Gerald Ford in 1976 because it was "Time For a Change" and elected Smiling Jimmy Carter as president. We got change all right - double-digit inflation & 21% mortgage interest's worth of change under one of the worst presidents in history. Jerry Ford didn't do much - but at least he didn't do anything bad for the economy and standard of living. I'm no McCain fan, but I'll take a do-nothing Ford as a 4-year stop gap over an activist Carter every day of the week.
Of course, many of the gullible Americans are those who believe the National Enquirer is a reputable newspaper and have the right to vote. Who's courting THAT vote? They may be the difference in putting one candidate or the other over the top. There's a thought that will keep you awake at night.
