besides, lots of theirs are just wrong :)
I like you handy-dandy opinion technique. My dad accused me of that for years - "splitting hairs." Later I realized I did it because it was a good strategy to get his attention.
In my view, the author of My Life story is duping everyone with his loud thinking “Life is too short to worry about others' opinions. We have enough trouble understanding our own".
Did he mean - understanding our own life, worries, opinions or problems? Either way, he is taking people for a ride. After all, life is all about others’ possessions, be it worries or problems that drive us to achieve the Nobel.
"After all, life is all about others’ possession"
Some would say, only if you choose to make life about that — and then you might be missing the point.
We can give away our opinions, yet leave enough of our opinions for ourselves to figure out.
When it comes right down to it, we have to sleep at night and will die our own way. Opinions at the end .... do they really change how we take that last breath?
Like love, giving away opinions does not diminish them.
ruby love and red pearls
Thank you.
Partially that's true, we earned those opinions.
And some people are lazy and just accept others, like parents and teachers, and never learn how to think for themselves.
Very common conversation with my wife:
She: "What will poeple think?"
Me: "Whatever they want to."
She: "You don't care?"
Me: "No; why should I? Everybody his entitled to is own opinion."
*Quarrel starts* She threatens to leave me again.
If that doesn't solve your question, save it for the next time Dr. Oliver Manly rears his head.
Rest easy
Opinions? We all have them, we all ignore most that are not in agreement with our own so we waste time sharing them with others. It is OK though if we don't take ours and theirs so seriously that we lose friends over them.
Rest easy
I have learned not to discuss certain topics with opinionated friends.
Happens to me every week.
