One summer my son's and I flew to Tampa, Florida in July for a wedding. It was 93 and HUMID. On return I dropped my son off in Appleton, WI and it was 93! They thought it was humid, but didn't compare to Tampa. I thought it was ironic nonetheless.

Well, tomorrow we go to the Pocono mountains for a week. Better climate in August.

That's why we need good math to understand it. There was this great Nova show last night about the mathematics of living things (and clouds and such). It's neat!

Two thoughts, Larry.

1) Math has such beauty, it is a good reflection of life. (I will look for that show.)

2) The key word is "reflection." We can enjoy math if we understand that's all it is. Not an explanation but a hint.

Of course, it is our problem. The Universe has no need to be understood.

I don't yet know the purpose of the Universe so I have no idea whether it needs to be understood or not and I won't until I understand it. (I have a ways to go, still on that.)

But if the Universe has no purpose then it doesn't matter what I do so I can safely assume that the Universe does have a purpose. Thus, whether it's a faux quest or not, it's still my quest for this lifetime at least.

I somehow suspect that looking for it is more likely to help me discover it than ignoring it. :-)

You just contradicted every fanatical, self-righteous, "holier-than-you" person I have ever encountered.

Any way, thanks for that explanation. I kept changing my glasses, but life continued to look fuzzy.

As Jan said fuzzy is better; I like fuzzy, fuzzy makes it cuddly, warm, comforting and just nice to hold on to.

Fuzzy reminds me of dust bunnies, lint, and hair on my toothbrush John. I don't like fuzzy. Might explain my battle strategy.

I get the lack of clear cut, but honestly I see it more like a prism or multifaceted. Depending on the angle from which you view it, it all changes.

Too true vivian. I sometimes deliberately shift my perspective just to see if the view is better, stay there for a while if I like it or keep switching until I get a view I will like for now. Sometimes I switch just for the heck of it, just for fun or just because I'm bored.

I've always liked fuzzy. Some of my favorite things to cuddle are fuzzy. And now without my glasses every thing I see looks fuzzy. I think the fuzzy man came from the comic strip B.C.
