Have a great week and we'll be talking shortly one way or another!
Scar tissue can help us do better, go further, but often we let it hold us back out of fear.
But you already knew that. :-)
Good comments, Tracy.
It feeds into the old "if it weren't for (fill in the word of your choice ... my mother, discrimination, my height, chance ... etc.)" syndrome.
One of mine also, Tanya. It's a wonder we develop past 5.
Vivian, both points are well made. Thanks
With what Karen said, that's the issue. Not awareness but willingness to change.
A known negative is often worth more than an unknown positive.
Have a great trip and stay safe. I have a friend who lived on the Coast in Mexico, he had no problem getting out on his pc. If we are lucky, you will also be able to get out..Thanks for the great thought this am. Have fun, and don't eat the worm!!! Ellen B
Hasta luego.
Have a great vacation
Good point, Beth. It is the learning that counts.
Patrick, I appreciate the Buddhist perspective. Thanks.
I think of the purpose of meditation to clear the mind and putting positive thoughts in is an interesting concept as well.
Donna,
1) Worrying about others seeing them is their business and a waste of your time.
2) The whole trick in therapy is to get scars to emerge so they can be addressed. Scars wilt in the sunshine and fears dissipate when examined.
So, consider a trip hope as free therapy and increased self-understanding. Be attentive and as the scars emerge consider them. I guarantee they will shrink.
Have a good trip.
And they are calorie free with transfats.
So important, Diana, and hardest to remember when needed the most.
Aw, Beaker, can't I just lug it around behind me? I'm used to the weight. ;)
Definitely one way to look at it, John.
I consider the past less important than the choices looking forward.
We all have some of it, LaRue.
"no happiness in their lives and no room to let any in."
That's an interesting and evocative statement. Thanks.
It all in who you know, Robert.
Good quote, Ellen. Thanks.
I have also been in Mexico with no Internet problems and when there were. When things break in Mexico, manana comes into play.
At some level, Rebecca, it's true for everyone. No one grows up 100% unscarred.
Agreed, Jenn, though some people consider it a permanent fix.
Patricia, that is an important aspect to this. Thanks for raising it.
Linda, another important aspect. Thanks.
Sorry I had to be the one to tell you, Debra :)
Thanks, Haim. The mind is usually clear, the trips are less predictable.
Great thought!
Thanks.
Well have a good time.
Skipping breakfast
Have a Great & powerful day W/J!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jesus Love You Too!!!!!
Funny thing about scar tissue, the more you work it, the more flexible it becomes. It only becomes rigid when you baby it and never move it or stretch it because you're afraid of the pain that might be there.
Thanks.
