I lived with a person who lived by logic and reason-I longed for emotional feelings of joy, appreciation, and even acting on a hunch. I am too far the opposite-I have to call myself to act on reason when I decide with my emotions. Thanks for thinking me think!
That's a left brain thing... right up my alley. Unfortunately, using it too much can cause self doubt and negativity. Now where did I leave my right brain this time?
My reality is that all is illusion. There is no safety, no reason, no logic, no real reality. Only perception--which we use, then, to build these other houses of mirrors and water. Excellent artwork, great sentiment here. (Good comments, too!) Blessings, Wilka
I don't. There are large disagreements about what is logical and reasonable. Just read the rants of people on opposite sides of current politics. They just can't believe that people with another opinion can be 'so stupid!"
I told my kids they should do the reasonable and logical things 95% of the time. That's enough to do well and still leave room to be a happy, nonlinear human being.
I'm going to look at art today in the galleries. I will do my best to bring a bit of logic and reason with me, but mostly I am looking for a vibration of sorts... some little resonance that what I am experiencing is real.
Terrific cartoon! It's true. I feel safe knowing that I am right and I worry about the other guy whose logic is flawed. We shouldn't mix logic and reason with art. There is a certain logic/reason to that which each of us considers art. Of course, my perception is the right one and everyone elses requires some interpretation and a little pity.
Excellent!! Reason and Logic . . . are elusive and more importantly, constantly changing. Science and medicine (for example) are guesswork in lab coats. What once was true, no longer is true . . . though some of it is returning from the untrue and back to the true. You can arm yourself but you can't hide behind these concepts. :)
Logic and reason? Too bad they are seldom used. If they were we would not have the three very worst and less qualified candidates for President sharing the Media's attention.

Good one, Kate.
Whatever...

Other times ...
(Of course, 93.4% is the correct answer).
