Whew...what a freaking exhausting few days!

Baxter our pitbull had a severe allergic reaction to a possible insect bite. His face swelled up to about twice it's normal size and had hives all over his body. I gave him some benadryl yesterday and that did help somewhat. Today I got him into the Vet's office. He gave him two shots and some pills. Then after I got home with him, I had to take my daughter for her allergy visit! Her doctor joked that the dog came first then her! Baxter's situation was serious..thankfully he is getting better.

As for coming on here lately...lol...I am doomed! either my legs are not letting me, the computer is slow...or the lastest distraction....Mushy laying on my keyboard. Yeppers, it is hard to type when your cat is sitting on the mouse and keyboard looking to be pet!!!

I am getting excited about the summer! I have a nice line up !

Well friends..I am off to try and hit your stuff...before the cat sits on my hands again!

I'll bet you will be glad when its time to go to bed tonight! Hugo, our St. Bernard, got stung by a bee in one of his jowls a couple summers ago. It swelled up to twice the normal size, which is huge to begin with. We had to rush him to the vet, he got a steroid injection right in it, then was on oral steroids for a week or so.

Mia had that same thing happen. We suspect she got stung. We now keep Benedryl on hand at all times just in case it happens again. Which is likely considering she loves to chase bees!

One of my dogs had her eye swell shut when she was stung by something. I thought it was going to pop out it was so HUGE!
