I haven't been on Gather in quite some time. I've been thinking about life a lot lately. I think that people see you doing what you truly want as selfish and arrogant but in all honestly, why wouldn't you put yourself first? I'd want to be as fully happy as I could be before I tried spreading the joy onto others. Too many times in life, have I seen people push their hopes/wants on the back burner to quell the family and friends that the decisons may upset. I think if your in the position to run after what you want in life, go for it. But don't use that as an excuse to run away from your problems, I hear it never works. This was totally random, but life is too short. You can't be reminded of that enough.
