Warren Adler, world famous author of The War of the Roses and Funny Boys is hosting my blog today!!

I am stunned at the generosity of some writers. Warren Adler generously accepted my offer to host my blog. (It's like getting Einstein to do your homework!)

True words of an experienced writer with conviction and wisdom could not have been said better.

Author Mark Glamack told me that his closest friend gave him the best advice to take that first step.

1. Find your own voice. What made other writers great is what set them apart and unique. Being different and original is an important factor that can make your work great and popular.

2. Follow your heart.

I might add, when you get older, don’t put yourself in a position to ask the question – what if?

I read Mr. Adler's article, and was very impressed. Being true to one's self is so essential in writing. I was intrigued by the fact he wrote War of the Roses without having a divorce experience to go bye. It just goes to show what a little talent and a lot of imagination will do. Thanks for the link!

Congratulations, Pat!!! With Mr. Adler's credentials, I'm sure you were thrilled and how incredibly gracious of him to host your blog and offer his expertise.

You were right! It certainly was worth the trip. I especially liked how he wrote of writing "to meet his own needs". I made a special trip back today to read the paragraph with that particular excerpt within it. *I found the language in that paragraph extremely lovely.

AND, I want to commend you on your blog. It's just wonderful... it's like going to an attic that is absolutely full of treasures.
