People on Gather...

just wondering about the different folks on here....how many are on here for the points and money and how many just come to gather and have a good time....

also if you are here for the points and money, do you work also or stay at home....

i am here for both, i like the different conversations going on but also am trying to get the points to help us out. i do not work but am a stay at home mom, which my sons really like. i also babysit a one year old little girl that is like a grand daughter to us...

Hello Dawn ~ I am for the people, points and a place to have fun. I work full time (have too I am a single mom of two teenagers). So, I get on when I can. I am usually on after dinner or so and on the weekend, I am on and off through out the day.

You sounds like a busy mom. Nice to meet you!

I won't lie, I'm here for the gift cards. I don't know many people on here. I don't work, I am disabled.. I am a freelance writer though.

I first became aware of Gather through reading a couple of articles on a blog. I thought, hey, that sounds like a wonderful place to be. Then I found out you could earn gift cards too and I thought "what a bonus". Then I started making friends here and that was the best reason of all. I'm sort of a semi-retired, in between jobs housewife that enjoys making some loot on the internet.

Oringinally joined Gather to showcase some of my poetry, that I have had tucked away, and to see if I still could compose. Then I learned of the points, and gift cards, and it became a double bonus. I also have come to enjoy the other poetry, articles and helpful information, I read on Gather.
I am a full time worker, who gets little time to be on the internet, but when I'm on the computer, you will generally find me on Gather. It has come to be my downtime.

I am a stay at home mom with three boys and these discussion board type sites help me to have real conversations. It's nice when they are busy doing something to be able to sit down and feel like an adult.

I like the interaction. I am very busy during the day but have a big break in the middle of my day. So, it keeps me going to read what other people are saying about various topics. I like the gift cards, as well.
