My church defined the word mom a little different than most people think it means,basicly if you're a caretaker of kids like a daycare provider/babysitter or you work with kids in some other manner you're a mom whether its to your own kids or because you take care of kids in some other manner. Its kinda hard to explain because I don't remember all of what the pastor said on Mother's day. But he did a tribute to all women(any female age 18 or older) because they may not have kids of their own but maybe they've played a motherly role like if they babysit or work in a school with kids or in the pediatric part of a hospital or in the church or hospital nursery etc.
