Only Halloween Memory
My favorite Halloween moment has to be when my oldest daughter realized her brother was actually going to go trick or treating with her. See at three years old he tended to have no fear of anything. And she feared everything, but nothing would stop her from getting the candy, right. She is 6 at the time this happened. We went walking toward a haunted house and Jasmine, my resourceful daughter, told Colin, my naive, son, that they gave away the best candy here and that all you have to do is not be scared because the house is REALLY haunted and ghost give you the candy for you and your best friend, me cuz I am your sister. Meanwhile, I am listening to this and I can't believe she is getting him to get candy for her. But I'm also thinking "Wow at six she is a genius!". I turn to my husband and bet him colin would do it."Your on!" Colin goes up to the house unafraid at first, that is until the first monster jumps right out at him. He jumped and (at this point i was certain he would run right back) kicked the "actor", probably the homeowner, in the jewels and runs for the candy bowl grabs the candy and runs back. I am laughing so hard, everyone on the street hears it. My husband goes over to the "victim" and helps him up and apologizes for the incident. I ask Colin why did he hit the monster? He said "Daddy told me kick and punch people that try to take me or my stuff." From then on I knew no one will ever take my baby from me. And that he actually listened when we tried to teach them about the "Stranger Danger" out there.
Thanks I know it was long, sorry.

Favorite memory was the single all time candy adaventure/day of my life. I was ten years old, and started early, at dusk. By Ten O'Clock that night my pillow case was bloated with candy, and so was I, and the midnight sun smiled upon me and my bag of tricks and treats. (1977)

For Mystery Book and Halloween Candy
Halloween contest
Caylah from Warrens group
I only have 2 stories cause we don't celebrate halloween.
1) well when I was 14 my mom let me go trick or treating
with my friend from highschool, I was so tall and developed
for my age that they thought I was her mother!!!
So I gave up and went home. Later that evening
my big bro said he would take me out- no costume
nothing and told me to grab 4 pillow cases.
We went out and filled every one of those pillow cases.
In the process I sprained my ankle early on
and he made me t or t for 2 hrs more.
We went home with 8 pilowcases and then I
was rushed to the hospital because my ankle
was so swollen but I was happy that I got to
go out and spend time with him.
2) When I moved to the USA my hubby's
friend had a Halloween party and it was a pimps
and hoes theme. I went as foxy brown and hubby
went and flavor flav I have pics !!!
My hubby is light skinned and the guest list had
1 other person with the same name as him on it.
So he signed in and got his drink bracelet for the bar
I went to the ladies room. I came back and tried
to sign in and they told me that my hubby hadn't signed
in that he hadn't arrived yet. But he did cause I was there
Well apparently my hubbys makeup was so good
they didn't know it was him all we did was paint his face
but if u want pics let me know I can send some.
That night he won grande prize fir best costume.
It was a fun night!

My favorite memory
Is of my three daughters. They were 2, 4 and 6. It was just your normal Halloween Trick or Treating but I had made their costumes that year. They were a ballerina fairy, a ladybug and a pumpkin. It was so funny because the 2 year old was the pumpkin and her costume was filled with paper towels. She would scare easily and when we came to a house, the kids got to pick their own candy. Well, my two year old reached in to get some candy and a hand reached back to take it from inside the pumpkin. She screamed and started running away and behind her were paper towels everywhere! You should have seen it, a little girl wobbling away with a paper towel trail behind her.

Comments : My favorite Halloween memory is the year we had a blizzard! We lived waaaaaay out in the country and I couldn't take the kids in to trick-or-treat (they were 6 and 4 at the time). So, I hid bedhind every door in the house (bedrooms, closets, etc.) and they would come and knock on the door, hollering "Trick or treat". I would open the door and oooh and aah over their costumes and hand out some candy. We played this game until all the candy was gone and they were exhausted - but it was the best Halloween we ever had!
