Days Go By

It's flying by

Slowly

Day by day

The little girl

The little boy

Grew and flew away

It's flown by

So quickly

Year by year

It seemed just yesterday

One blink of the eye

And it's all gone by

Still marches on

So slowly

Day go by

Changes come in the blink of an eye

While time moves on

And that little girl

Wonder where it's gone

As they sit

Watching it all go by

I'm that little girl. When did I get so old? I guess I never figured I'd live this long. Weird really. Mike the poem evokes wanting to remember, remember who I was when I was little. She was pretty wild, and fearless. She was great.

This is so true. I'm reminded of it so often as I see my grandchildren grow up and now have a great grandchild. When did I get old enough to have all these grands and great grands??? Not to mention children old enough to be grandparents??
