Silence for God
(To Nancy Silveria)
We have erased our words with more words
then when you have pointed that out,
or that we are buried under words,
we have tried to scream, failed and tried again.
The failure of the same is silence,
the God residing within whom we have
never given a moment of respite.

16th July, 1 a.m.
you reaped my sleep
drew a red line
on my hand
by a fine blade
which I had used for shaving
that morning.
I just stared at you,
still would do nothing.
It was the only peace
I could offer you.

a macabre line of life is cut short.
Flies are gathering
around me.

Last night ended in another night.
I was too dead to do the bed.

short and smart
The second poem peaked my interest and I wonder what inspired that one. Both snippets were good, but I snippet 1 sang more to me.

We try desperately to communicate the ineffable with words and actions (healing and harmful), when silence and listening to "...the God residing within..." (whatever God we may believe in) is the only lasting practice to get to know who and what we truly are deep inside. Lovely writing as usual, my dear Poddar.
You're absolutely amazing within your understanding of us mere humans.

I wish there was something we could do about this flagging and ratings thing. I hate that they do this to you. You are so talented, and don't deserve this. I agree with Mandy, they are just jealous and cowardly.
Hugs to you. :)
I feel like a theater where an adult rate works for its business, people secretly go and fool themselves.
I love your way with words Kushal.
I hope you get it sorted out soon.
Anywho, I love the poem friend!
Thanks for posting to my group, Anythingwriting

To know the Silence IS to know God.
"UNTIL the LAST WHISPER of the WIND"
Listen To the Silence
Born in a world with noise all around,
It's hard to listen to the sound.
The ears are most often confronted with
Noise each day,
Yet you can hear it when you pray.
And if you learn to be still,
The sound will come, it's not a shrill.
Sometimes it's hard to really strain,
To hear the sound that is so tame.
Where the beauty lays in wait,
You listen for what, for what? each day.
Turn down the objects you do see,
Turn down the volume, Hear Gracefully.
And when you find it PeAce will be,
The sound of silence, inside of thee.
