Two wise men
( To Robert on his birthdeay)
I exclaim, “It is blood.”
Robert does not believe in bleeding
or death;
hence, we continue to stir
the rotten trunks, barks, stems, roots
till we see
it is really
a blood orchid.
With a smile we proceed
meandering down the dusty roads
away from the city.
“So there is life after all.”
The conclusion does not sound
preposterous.
In our flask
the sweet, almost intoxicating aroma
of nectar waits to be poured
into a cup.
I pick a thorn from my shirt
and quaff my thirst.
We are carrying the flask
for someone else
who is in more need
for it than we are.

As always incredible work! Salud
Featured in the Triple Name Club.
This one was really clean and tight which I liked. It felt like being in full stride linked hip to hip, enjoying each others deep and abiding friendship and exploring terrain and far reaching thoughts on generosity and life. Started my day on the right foot.
Visually distinct as well Kushal.
Nicely done.

Thank you for posting this to The Surreal Circus.
Thank you so much my friend. You have brightened my birthday. I will be in the woods tonight and at my campfire I will read this again.
God Bless You Young Sir!
Now,
let's join forces and find that Blood Orchid Diamond, so we can feed the world.
Blessings and best wishes - S.
Since I’m in the middle of Finals week, I hate to admit, but I must give in to the temptation of leaving a generic comment
But to give it a little personal touch, I added some artwork for you to enjoy!
