Field note of an alien
Calcutta suburb. 03.05.2009. 18:50
Invaded at 17:20. The U.F.O. parked at Yuvabharati Stadium.
The alien stands still behind the bush
where they are coupling. Disheveled.
Curious and amused the alien
looks at the movements, moans, wetness
and tries to take note on the warmth called ‘love’.
Then the earth- male draws a fistful of cash;
the earth female takes it inside her dress;
there the monies begin to come to life.
Alien writes, - money is a parasite
that eats feelings commonly known as ‘love’.
The alien follows the girl with a hope
to track the parasite; the virus.
The female dresses her self; adjusts pride
moves to catch the tram-car now alight.
She looks at the moon following the tram,
sometimes it is so handsome, looks alien.
She succumbs to the moon till her stoppage comes.
She enters into a dim world,
illegal connection of electricity.
The alien enter surreptitiously.
Their she is, placing the monies
on the table beside the little bottles
of antibiotics;- arrayed like troops.
She takes the thermometer, winces.
Someone rustles in the dark corner.
She moves to the person and whispers
“Don’t worry honey. I shall soon gather
all the monies. We shall live together.”
The white ashen face looks at her, blankly.
The alien draws a conclusion:
Monies can make love last longer.

Thanks, Poddar.

Wanting something is not enough. You must hunger for it. Your motivation must be absolutely compelling in order to overcome the obstacles that will invariably come your way.
In the end, it is the person you become, not the things you have achieved, that is the most important.
i wonder what else he would write
Blessings and best wishes - S.
Have you seen the movie The Man Who Fell to Earth (original version, not director's cut)? It's outstanding, and its themes are similar to yours.
Thanks for posting this to my group, Anythingwriting

So sad
Poddar, I don't know how I missed this one. I just saw the link in a comment you left on someone's post back in March! Glad I saw it. Your writing is fluid and real. Love the alien.
