You are the smile on my face, the glimmer in my eye
You are my one, my only, my Pumpkin Pie

You are my Best Friend, I pray never my foe
You are the one upon whom all things I bestow

You are my brightest star, my guiding light
You are my warmth in the cold of this desolate night

You are my heart, the second half of my soul
You are my reason when my reason has no control

You are and I am, One of the same and Two of a kind
You are the bond I feel within my heart, body and mind

You are my every fantasy, the man of my dreams
You are my constant reminder that true love always is as it seems

You are my Passion and my Desire, my Love and my Lust
You are my Courage and my Strength, my Understanding and my Trust

You are tonight's dream of tomorrow's day
You are every word my heart longs to hear but is too afraid to say

You are my prayer for the future, my blessing in disguise
You are my "Happily Ever After", my "Handful"” and my "Surprise"

You are my Fate's Fortune, my What’s Meant to Be
You are too good to be true, my blessed Destiny

You are the Giggle in my Laughter, the happy- in my -ness
You are quite simply my everything and not one thing less

This wasn't my first attempt..but I worked on this poem for quite some time.. you know how now that you've found true love, the joy you feel within is so amazing that you find yourself struggling to find the right words to fully describe it to others - well this is what i came up with...and eventhough he is no longer in my life - i will love him deeply for as long as i live. That is also why this poem means so much to me :)

Nicole, This is a wonderful poem. Really easy to get the flow to. Youcan feel the emotion and the depth of feeling as you read and it starts so simply and feels like it is escalating in intensity till the final word. Thank you for sharing it. I enjoyed it very much.
