I looked for you along the river wide

Among the trees so tall

To the heavens they seemed to reach

So to take you into their arms so strong

 

I looked for you in the endless hills

Left behind footprints in the snow

A purity that washes the land

In a slumbering blanket of white

 

I looked for you among the clouds

For your spirit that could sail so high

Carried on the golden rays

From Heaven to Earth they extend

 

I looked for you forever

Until the coming day

Find where you now rest

When life took you away

 

I looked for you my love

To hold you close again

I looked for you my love

Until I could look no more
