On Evening
The sun has been trying to move
the loose boughs falling over its face,
in vain.
Out of its front door a road goes
to meet the impatient lady
waiting at the other bend.
Here truths simply interchange.
The myths remain no more myth,
their blending into realities
becomes golden with the sun.
Slowly sun pours itself a stiff liquid...

Blessings and best wishes in a plenty - S.
Other than that, nicely done.
Merry Christmas to you, too.
Featured in the Triple Name Club.
You are rather prolific which is good. I know the feeling because I love to write. If I could say one thing to you it would be, don't let youth be a transgression on your pen.
Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays as you await January 14.
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas!
Peace on Earth & Goodwill to All Mankind!
I particularly liked your opening 3 lines:
The sun has been trying to move
the loose boughs falling over its face,
in vain.
I would have loved to see you develop this metaphor as opposed to mixing it up with other equally undeveloped images and metaphors, which did not work as successfully for me.
Just one person's reaction.
Best wishes to you for a warm, cozy Winter Solstice, and A Superfine 2009!

I just wanted to stop by since I am finally going through what is now listed as under 4,000 pieces of gather new mail that is sitting in my inbox on here.
With that mentioned I just came across either a mailing from you yourself, or someone else brought this piece to my attention. You or they felt that your creation should be shared with the gather community, which I am very glad that it was passed on to me to view. So I wanted to say Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to publish it here on gather for us to all view. :o)
As well before I leave you I wanted to wish you a Happy New Year... in 2009 :o)
