Walking with Daisy in the Woods~ photo essay

I went to walk to the mailbox today and found a new route to go. It's unusually warm today, but i can live with it,lol.

Daisy as usual got a head start.

We have to turn right at the end of our driveway and then to the end of the road where the mailboxes are.. But, I took a different route

Because of the Foxhunting in the area, the hunt has tons of trails well kept.

We decided to walk on one to see where it turned out. I got ahead of Daisy finally.

"Daisy, catch up!"

Then we find this huge uprooted old tree. I had to almost drag her away from this. Who knows what lurkins within?

This old uprooted tree looks kinda creepy too

I can see the mailboxes through the trees~ this might have taken a bit longer, but definately a much nicer walk to get my mail than usual.

Got our mail and almost home, we cut up through Robi's field to the barn.

Spectacular!

My Beagles and I share such walks and I find it so cathartic and exhilarating at the same time. Nature and my Beagles I need nothing else (Prozac and the like)!

I am fortunate to live across the street from a 55 acre park, so that is our daily morning walk, after 2 hours I am fresh and ready for more of life! {~,~} = cute snicker not quite a laugh!

i was born and raised in coastal virginia........just a few years back my daughter, g'son and i went almost to richmond.....when i said it was time to go home my g'son said.... do we have to? i like it here....... me too
