I've never seen an insect like this before but they seem to be common in Savannah. Does anyone know what it is?

They are dainty and pretty looking. I also have one that is orangey red, it looks like a cross between a dragon fly and a moth. It's smaller and faster than this one.

when I first saw it I thought it was a fishing fly. lol.
I wonder if fish would go for them if put on the hook??
