I live in Northern Virginia(countryside). Where I live there are a few bald eagles that were set free years ago. In the past 5 years, I have seen at least 10 different ones. I never got a picture, because I never had a camera with me when I saw them.
On the farm I am at right now, I have seen 3 different colors of eagles. But, for the past year, I hadn't seen them anymore. I was worried that someone killed them or maybe they just flew away.
Well, yesterday i was looking out my bathroom window talking on my cell phone, it's the only place in my apartment that it picks up, lol. And there went a bald eagle flying right by my window towards the woods. He had a white head and white tail and his body was dark brown and he was Magnificent! He was gone so fast, I didn't have time to grab my camera. Drats! But, at least I knew they were still around.
This afternoon, I was talking to my sister, Melanie B., and there he went again, flying right by the window. I screamed at Mel, "OMG! There's that eagle flying by my window!" She of course could barely hear me, because i was breaking up so bad because I jumped up yelling this. And of course he was gone, just like that. I felt like he was teasing me. I tried to see if he came back out. I went outside for an hour and waited. I did hear screeching and saw a hawk come out of the trees in the same area and circle around. I don't know if it was the hawk screeching or the eagle. Probably the hawk.
He is beautiful. I do not know anything about eagles. I am assuming it's a he because he is so beautiful. The others I have seen are dark brown with little white just a white head with brown body. His head, neck and long tail are white, it's amazing. I would do anything to get a picture of this bird.
Does anyone know anything about eagles? Or has anyone ever got a picture of one?
He flies across and goes into the woods. After that I don't see him anymore. One thing is that yesterday and today it was about the same time that he flew past my window. So, maybe it's his schedule. I will be waiting tomorrow and every day after.
It's my new Photo Goal. I need to do some searching on eagles I reckon. Any help I can get from my friends here at Gather, I sure would appreciate. :)

I don't know too much about them but I am quite sure they keep the same scedule, at least the ones did where I saw them. I hope you get that picture. Just be patient.
Some Eagles are drifters and only seen in a place for a short period and some are nesters and stay in the same area always.
I hope you get a Picture.
