I'm fairly new at making alterations to my photos, but I'm hoping you'll like what you see. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the viewing! All of my edits were done using either PhotoShop or Picnik.

First up is an orange Lily.
------------------------>
Next is a Dianthus. Since the plant had not been deadheaded in awhile, it was very sparse for blossoms. I opted to photograph just one bloom and couldn't help but notice the shadow just alongside it. I wanted to figure out a way to incorporte that single flower and its shadow without it being overly blah. Hopefully you'll like what I did with it!

This was kind of a fun method to use and I do like the way it turned out. How about you?
I don't know about you, but I LOVE Hydrangeas! Yes, yes, I know. Mine aren't that lovely shade of lavender-blue ~ mine are pink. Unfortunately, I buy them at the store and they're that most sought after color and the next year, they've turned to pink! I can't help it folks!

I'm hoping you will still enjoy seeing them as they're up next!
------------------------------>

My husband and I went to the Tulip Festival in Holland, Michigan this past spring. We really enjoyed walking around and seeing the abundance of tulips that city takes great pride in. If you've never been before and are in the area next year, you may want
to think about stopping by — they have a lot of neat things to see and do! My regular Gather friends may recongize the next two photos (as they were posted awhile back), but they are flower alters that I've done and so I wanted to be sure to include them. It goes without saying, but just in case you missed it, these tulips were not from my garden!

Next, for your viewing pleasure, is another photograph you may already have seen (since I entered it into a photography contest, Alter Your Pics, earlier today. Nonetheless, it is one of my alterations of which I am quite proud. I hope you'll like the way it turned out as well!
If you have Hostas, you may already have noticed how absolutely beautiful the buds, blossoms and flowers are! Most of the time, there's no need to alter them as they're already so pretty just as they are. I decided to see what improvements I might be able to make on what God's/nature's already given us. What do you think?

<----------------------------- Isn't she lovely?
Coming up next is my one and only Sunflower (and buds) thus far for this summer. She's a beauty as I hope you'll agree. Many of you may find that my alterations are tend to be pretty subtle. That, for the most part, is quite true ~ or at least I hope it is. My idea of alterations (especially with regards to my flowers) is to make small changes that produce big results. I hope you'll like what you're about to see.

Thank you for stopping by. If you've enjoyed the viewing, please be sure to let me know. If I get enough positive feedback, perhaps I'll work on doing another posting of this kind. Again, thank you so much for your support. Come again soon! Take care. ^i^

Hey marilyn, you know I like most of your alterations. I think these are just beautiful, too. A hint, if you put aluminum sulfate on your hydragea's soil, it will probably turn blue. Unless it is some new hybrid, the color of a hydrangea is controlled by the soil Ph.
Aluminum Sulfate, huh? Thanks! Perhaps I'll give that a try! :)
You know that I enjoy all your photos, alterations or not! These are delightful!
