Atlanta Botanical Gardens: The Lily Pond

Last Friday, Marianne R. and I made a second visit to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens.  In my previous photo essay I showed you the rose garden.  This photo essay will focus on  the lily pond.  The pond is substained from rain water that comes off the orchid conservatory.  Maybe we will even see some frogs?  Let's go look.

Let's take a closer look.  A white lily.

 

Do you see something staring back at you?

What a beautiful place to hang, er, float around in.  Obviously the eating is pretty good around here also.

Another froggy friend.  This must be the life to float around in such a beautiful place.

You took some beautiful shots. The other pond usually has lilys too, but I guess they didn't stock it yet after it was empty on our first visit.

Great photos, Kat. I have a lovely pond in my back yard and my white lily is blooming now. It's so relaxing to sit by the pond and listen to the waterfall. We celebrated Mother's Day with the whole family on the deck beside the pond. It was a gorgeous day. Thank you so much for the tour.
