Come share my adventure with the birds. Photo Essay - Riverhead New York

I am not sure if all these birds were seagulls, but I can tell you they all love french fries.

We were eating at a McDonalds in Riverhead NY when I decided to get out of the car and share my french fries with the birds on the river. My husband snapped these pictures of me and the birds.

This was the day that I got sick in the evening. Posting this made me think, I wonder if I had the bird flu, lol.

When we got to the river all was calm, Mcdonalds is right on the river and we were in the back parking lot.

I just stepped out of the car with my french fries and the birds got excited.

Evidently the Canadian geese don't care for McDonald's fries, lol. They didn't move in any of the photos.

LOL, we had an adventure with gulls last month, they were out on a lake pretty far away I told my daughter to toss a fry in the air, that they were gulls and so they would see it. All it took was one seeing it he screeched and it took less than a minute for us to have them all over the place. they love fries we had wendy's

I know where I live at you are not allowed to feed the birds. Not even at the parks. because the seagulls and stuff will attack people to get their food.

This is just great, Carol! And, you did have a couple of ducks in there it looked like. I enjoyed these. I love going down to MacArthur Park and feeding the birds down there. We have such a variety from pigeons to seagulls to ducks and even a few geese. It makes things interesting and I always get a chuckle out of the seagulls squawking when one of the birds gets to the bread I've thrown before they do. Some of the seagulls are mean and will chase one of the birds that grabs the food first. It can be really funny, though.
