Dawes Arboretum near Jacksontown, Ohio is beautiful in any season but particularly lush in late summer.. I recently enjoyed a picnic supper there and snapped away until the sun set.

I ate quickly but it was late day and some photos may be on the dark side.
In the spring the Cypress swamp is wet and teeming with little creatures but it has dried out this summer
By the time I took this photo my husband was looking at his watch and I was saying "Just five more minutes"
It's dark enough now to give up
Here are some thumbnails of shots I managed to get in the light and believe me there are plenty more in the tray.

Once again, I get an idea from Kay (great pix, btw, *great* location)... I have some pix of cypresses in Lake Providence, LA that might make a good photo essay.
I'm lacking all originality, copying Kay!!!
