Rocky Mountain High....

                               Winter we ski...Summer we play

            We love to snow ski here in the winter, but we LOVE the summer!

                 Warm days and cool nights.... clean air...beauty all around!

                             WELCOME TO THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS

P.S. I decided to come back and add my comments to my photos. Yesterday I tried and tried and was so glad to FINALLY get a few of the intented photos posted that I just 'submitted'...I was so afraid all the work would disappear..again...

We had been bike riding the dedicated bicycling trail that runs from Vail to Breckenridge

and this looked like as good a pit stop as any

 

The Bike trail takes you past Lake Dillion...that is Keystone Ski Resort ski slopes in the background...

 

 

These flowers were outside a shop on Main street Breckenridge.. Actually Breckenridge is covered in flowers during the summer

 

 

My dog Toro goes with us on most of our trips...he was loving the grass ..here he was  wanting to play football with the guys..he was ready if the ball were to come his way...

 

 

 

This feds into Maggie Pond which freezes over every year. We always do our snow covered Christmas card family picture right here

These are one of the peaks we ski.. in the summer we walk them.

 

My son Alex rides circles around us..

My husband decided Toro needed to see as we ride thus the doggy sack

Fly Fishing is big here

 

My husband enjoys an occasional cigar as he reflects on the day

Pictures two, five and nine are outstanding. Your snapshot are solid, fun. The solo shot of your dog, well (you know this) you need to get down on you belly.

Fantastic pictures. Makes me want to go back to Colorado but I'll stick with summer! I do not like to drive across the Colorado Rockies in the winter!

Wonderful photos! I lived in Colorado Springs for 12 years and used to visit up this way often. The flowers are lovely in the summertime - they must like the cool nights.

Jennifer, our son moved to Colorado last year. I have a lot of pics up from our trip out there. Lake Dillon was one of them. We were there this past July. We don't ski or bike ride out there but we love driving around and going up dirt roads with our 4 wheel drive. Thank you for your tour of where you went. And I love your little dog.

What fun. Looks so great. I skiied at Breckenridge one winter....altitude! but a neat place. What a great state. My daughter just moved there and I hope to visit soon. great pics.

We have good friends that we knew in Alaska that live in Breckenridge. We've only been there twice in the summer but we have always wanted to go back in the winter for skiing.

Absolutely stunning.

I have never been skiing. I am terrified at the thought of going, honestly. I'm not afraid of the act itself, but I am a klutz, and the idea of breaking something vital just does not appeal to me.

And yet, I will volunteer to crawl into a burning building.

Go figure. :)
