One of my mimosa trees in bloom.

Phlox are blooming away in the garden near my deck.

Hibiscus blooming near my "big" pond. I love their huge flowers! A freecycler gave it to me last summer.

Double flowering Rose of Sharon near my garage.
My purple coneflowers in my deck garden, with a visiting friend.

Oriental lilies in my side garden.
I don't know the name of this little pink flower, but it used to grow in my grandmother's fields when I was a kid. I was overjoyed to find them in my lawn a few years back. I dig them up, move them to somewhere safe from the mower, and they always reseed themselves somewhere in my yard. They are so darned tiny and cute! I love them!

Crepe myrtle I brought back from Virginia years ago. It does well in this sheltered area between the 2 houses, next to my "big" pond.

Those are my favorite land plants blooming right now. I'll have to do another photo essay of the ponds!

I have some of those little pink flowers too. I would guess they are in the dianthus genus (pinks). I also have some in yellow. They came up by themselves.
You say you brought the crepe myrtle "back" from Virginia. Where are you now? I'm all about pushing the envelope with plants. I have a mimosa blooming here in Michigan. They aren't common at all around here. I've always wanted to try crepe myrtle.
Mimosa in Michigan? Wow. I don't recall seeing any out that way when I visited my brother in Wisconsin. I bet alot of people ask you about it!
