One of Natures Mysteries

Hi all of Gather I posted these photos a while back but I figured I would write a short little article about them.

My wife and I came across this tourist attraction while out sightseeing on our honeymoon in Cheyenne Wyoming. We just seen a pull off that said tourist attraction. We found it quite amazing. That a tree could actually grow while being completely surrounded by rock. One of Natures wonders.

Perhaps it is the fact that it is surounded by rock is the reason for it's growing, unimpeded. Maybe the rocks protected it, somehow.

Nice shot Carl. Do you think that you could plant a tree in a place like that and it would grow. Probably not. but God said we could do the things that is possible, and He would do the things that is impossible.( right)

Its so very cool when you stumble across some little piece of history like this.

I loved reading the plaque, thanks for a nice clear photo of it, that is an interesting history that little tree has witnessed.

It reminds me of a Bonsai tree, only a larger one than normal.

what a neat find, cool photos
Not only was this neat, but it was interesting. It was so cool to read how the locomotives would stop and the firemen would give the tree a drink. That's awesome.
