Our day of planting

Last Sunday was Mother's day and I got to spend some real quality time with my youngest son. He is still my baby he still tries to do things with me. Children grow up so fast and my oldest son is 14 almost 15 he is a little too grown up now for planting with mom. My youngest son helped me plant some seeds last Sunday and I wanted to share our fun with all of my gather friends.

We went to home depot to buy a couple plants, seeds, soil , and peat pots. I figured if I wanted to get these seedlings going I had better do so before my surgery. So we did my son had a ball. We planted pumpkins, huge pumpkins,corn,a strawberry plant, lilies,and many different types of flower seeds.


We also bought plants that were already started, tomatoe, and pepper plants. I can not wait to eat fresh veggies from my own garden. They always taste so much better when you plant them.

It was a gorgeous afternoon here in Connecticut. The weather was nice and sunny. So we planted our seeds. My son has been taking care of them while I have been out of commision but as soon as I can I will post pictures of how they are doing. ( I really do not trust my son outside with my camera lol)

The weather is beautiful here again today. I have my bedroom windows open and the cool breeze is coming in making the roman shades billow in the wind. I really want to get outside, but know that right now is just not the time. I should be okay by next weekend then I can maybe plant the peat pots.
I am so looking forward to that.
