Half Way There. Can't help but think of Bon Jovi's signature song--Livin' on a Prayer.
I am half way there whether I succeed or not. Time won't wait for me to repair my broken scale. Time won't stop until I establish a firm routine of exercise. Time keeps on marching into the future.
The hygenist took my blood pressure today. All my adult life the readings have been around 102/68. Today it read 137/75! I wonder why. I have a physical scheduled next week so I'll get another reading then. If it's still high, I'll have to look at the changes that have happened in the past year that might explain such a scary jump in my blood pressure.
I wake up each morning full of resolve and enthusiasm. By noon, I begin to slip. It's slipping on little, tiny things like eating just a few bites too many or sitting too long at the computer messing around.
But the sun's coming out and soon I'll be on my bike.

I was up way too late so I am going to nap then a quick run or a few quick ones, before I have more students tonight, then off to NYC tomorrow...
I am so darn glad we don't have any more ice.
and when you feel yourself slipping, try to envision something wonderful - a place, a person, an event...something that will make you smile.
I'd say you're doing great, Susan. If you are not entirely happy with your results, think about why that is and if there is something you can do for the next half to improve your results.
Commitment is hard, it's my word for 2009 and while I'm struggling, I've decided the only person who benefits from my doing well is me - 2009 is my year:)

There's only now....you are a very wise woman!
