Well today was another successful day. This morning I made sure to have my breakfast. I had an energy breakfast bar which is made with apples, raisins, cinnamon and walnuts and a glass of milk with green barely. Then around ten I went for a 30 minute walk around my apartment complex with Jacob strapped to my back in the baby backpack. The extra 18 pounds or so really add an extra punch to your walk! When I got back from my walk I put Jacob to sleep and then stuck in my Windsor Pilates Bun & Thigh workout. I was originally going to do the 55 minute lower body workout again this week but in order to keep the workouts from becoming stale, I decided to alternate weeks with these two video's. Plus there was a time I was doing this workout every morning before work and my hubby had mentioned he noticed a difference. So I figure it's worth plopping it back into the rotation.
Then for lunch I had small shell pasta with sauteed mushrooms, roasted garlic and basil and tomato marinara sauce with another glass of milk and green barely. They say canned tomatoes and marinara sauce have more antioxidants than normal tomatoes so I'm trying to incorporate more of those into my diet. I was still hungry after that so I had a Zone Perfect bar as well. They're good and this bar only has 7 grams of fat but has a bunch of vitamins and minerals in it.
For dinner my hubby and I packed up stuff for a chicken salad, loaded with vegi's and then we took Jacob for a swim, so I got a little workout from that as well. Then after dinner and swimming, we took our dog for a walk around the neighborhood for about an hour. That was nice...we love looking at all the houses and the night was just the perfect temperature!
Overall, it was a typical day, but at least I fit in some good eats and some exercise. Tomorrow I plan on doing the same thing, although I'll probably do an upper body workout. We'll see what I'm in the mood for when the time comes but as long as I get a video in and do it, then it's a success in my mind!
