This weekend I pretty much took advantage of balancing my life with some "ME" time. I had my massage and facial today and boy was it nice! The lady who did my massage asked me if I wanted a light to medium or medium to hard massage...I said medium to hard. And hard it was! She spent most of her time on my back and neck and when I flipped over I said "I have a bunch of knots don't I?" She was like "Oh yeah, that's why I've been spending most of my time on your back and neck." Then she asked me if I got headaches and I said no...and she said that was good, and she's glad I came in for a massage because she'd hate to see my back and neck if I didn't! After that I had my facial and that was very relaxing. She not only did a facial but I got an arm, leg and neck massage too. At the end she said that I had some "wicked knots" in my neck and I said that the sad thing was that I just got a 60 minute massage and she did it with heavy pressure. She was like "Really? Oh my!" So apparently I needed this even more than I thought! At any rate, it was wonderful and I was so glad to have some me time!
This weekend we also went to Costco and stocked up on fruits, vegi's, breakfast energy bars, fish and chicken. I think I have a good stockpile of healthy foods to get me through the week. So I will be concentrating on eating well and making sure that I keep on eating my breakfast. We also splurged and bought a Lobster tail and that was DELICIOUS! I highly recommend getting your lobster from Costco. It was definitely restaurant quality!
As for exercise, I didn't do any of my workout video's but we did walk a lot. So I feel good about that. The great thing is that we have a walking trail right behind our apartment complex so it makes it easy for us to walk in a safe place. I took a picture of it so you can see it for yourself. Starting tomorrow I will be doing the workout video's again. I have so many I've never even opened so it will be fun since it wont be repetitive. And I will be doing another session or two of my 55 lower body workout as that is what I would like to improve most.
Overall I feel good about the balance I've tried to keep in my life. It was a nice change of pace to pamper myself and now I'm refreshed and ready to work hard at keeping myself fit this week!
