I managed to do two sessions at the exercise bike instead, so I got the exercise I've been wanting. Right now I'm doing only five minutes at a time because I'm starting over. In the past I've been able to ride the bike for up to twenty minutes at a time... but Bob wants me to take it slowly and not work too hard, to begin. He's like my personal trainer, and I listen to what he suggests.
Today I cooked the organically grown squash my neighbor brought me. It is yellow crookneck squash. After cooking, I made burritos with it. I know this may sound strange but keep in mind, I'm a vegetarian. I heated flour tortillas and in them placed drained, cooked squash, fresh onion rings, fresh tomatoes, and sharp cheddar cheese. This was SO good. No beans, no meat, no hot peppers. It worked for me. I had one for lunch and it was so good, I had another for dinner.
Late in the afternoon Bob and I went upriver to investigate a mining claim, so I got a little more exercise walking down a long sandy path to the river with fruit-laden blackberry bushes crowding in on both sides. Of course I had to taste the fruit. I can't walk past a ripe blackberry without desiring it. I'm glad there were no calories involved.
